  • Don't Buy Rahm Emanuel's Phony Jussie Smollett Outrage, America

CHICAGO, IL — Don't let Mayor Rahm Emanuel's phony rage about Jussie Smollett getting off easy fool you, America. He's auditioning to score a gig as an angry know-it-all pundit on a national lefty news network. Chicago's lame-duck boss has been campaigning to rewrite his mayoral legacy of failure for months while the city eagerly awaits his successor. His City Hall Spin Machine has been pumping out as many as four happy press releases a day. If Rahm's not cutting ribbons, he's begging New York Times reporters for favorable news stories, and who knows what else, to pimp his revisionist...

  • TBR: Algeria donated to Clinton Foundation - it wanted off 'terror list' #PodestaEmails

....The donation, and others like it, raises questions about whether Clinton went "soft" on Algeria for contributing to her husband’s cause under the appearance of earthquake relief in Haiti, Marcus wrote. Scarborough said the situation will "stink to high heaven" even if it’s a legal gray area. "I think it was Algeria, maybe, that had given a donation that went unreported at a time when they wanted to be taken off of the terror list in the State Department," Scarborough said. "They write the check, they get taken off the terror list. ... At the same time, and then it...

WOW. This one was marked confidential and I see why. They are discussing Hillary's 2007/2008 run and how the PACs are set up in each state. They are discussing coordinating with those PACs and even funding them from the campaign. For anyone else, this would be a major criminal FEC violation. memo and follow-up (confidential) From:tmatzzie@gmail.com To: john.podesta@gmail.com Date: 2007-09-29 19:19 Subject: memo and follow-up (confidential) John, I read the memo. Good analysis. Here is my confidential--for your eyes only--review of the memo. It is negative on some things. So, please keep this as eyes only. Overall, as I'm sure...
  • North Dakota - Missouri River Flood + Garrison Dam Release

The US Army Corps of Engineers continue to increase the release from the Garrison Dam. By June 2, they will be discharging at 120,000 cubic feet per second with 150,000 cfs soon afterwards. Meanwhile, about 4,000 homeowners are desperately trying to save their property in Mandan and Bismarck. My brother is one of them. My sons are there with my other brother and a friend helping out. If anyone has any updates from that area, I'd sure like to know. North Dakotans know how to take care of their own - they are amazing people.
  • Illinois House Bill 148, " The Family and Personal protection Safety Act" (right to carry)

Aurora Sportsmans Club (Illinois) | 09April2011
(Illinois) House Bill 148, " The Family and Personal protection Safety Act" (right to carry) is up for the 3rd Reading in the House. It now has 38 co-sponsors and it appears that there are more than 71 committed votes. "71" is important because that is the super majority that is required to make the Bill veto proof and also prevents the City of Chicago from suing to eliminate the "no exemptions" clause which prevents home rule communities from passing an ordinance barring concealed carry. All of us that are involved in pushing this through, need your help. This is...

La Crosse-area activists submitted signatures today to the Government Accountability Board for the recall of Sen. Dan Kapanke, R-La Crosse, the first of eight ongoing recall efforts against eligible GOP senators to be turned in. The volunteers submitted some 21,700 signatures, well over the 15,588 minimum, with 33 days left before the official deadline. State Dem Party officials called the submission "the most expeditious triggering of a recall in Wisconsin state history." "When we realized how well we were doing, we were feeling pretty confident and we needed to move forward and move on to our next chapter, which is...

  • Robert Gibbs at It Again

    Commentary Magazine ^ | 13 July 2010 | Peter Wehner
One way in which press secretary Robert Gibbs resembles his boss, the president, is that the weaker the case they have, the more petulant and smug they both become. We saw that behavior play out again yesterday, when Gibbs was asked about the recess appointment of Donald Berwick to head the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which oversees approximately one third of all health-care spending in the United States.Dr. Berwick is controversial because he has spoken as a besotted lover of the British health-care system. “I am romantic about the National Health Service,” he said in 2008, referring to...
  • Barack Obama - Narcissist or Merely Narcissistic?

    The Global Politician ^ | 13 August 2008 | Sam Vaknin, Ph.D.
Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist. Granted, only a qualified mental health diagnostician (which I am not) can determine whether someone suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and this, following lengthy tests and personal interviews. But, in the absence of access to Barack Obama, one has to rely on his overt performance and on testimonies by his closest, nearest and dearest. Narcissistic leaders are nefarious and their effects pernicious. They are subtle, refined, socially-adept, manipulative, possessed of thespian skills, and convincing. Both types equally lack empathy and are ruthless and relentless or driven. Perhaps it is time to require...
  • Is Barack Obama Suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder?

    No Third Solution ^ | April 2010 | David Z
Months ago, my friend Brad noticed that whenever Obama gives an address he speaks in a condescending manner. His body language is that of someone who is looking down on the audience, and his verbal language accommodates this. Brad noted that he makes frequent use of the command, “Look:” which just isn’t how mature adults converse with, or address one another. Sure, it’s a weird personality trait to behave like that, but I’ve grown to expect a certain level of disdain from the political class toward the rest of us.

Now it's come to this: the way Elena Kagan sits. In a lengthy examination of the Supreme Court nominee's seating posture – "hunched with her legs ajar" – the Washington Post fashion writer gives us a tour of Kagan's hip-length jackets, underpinnings, hosiery, shoes and jewelry, the way she "walks with authority and stands up straight," and the way she defies convention with that business with the legs. "In photographs of Kagan sitting and chatting in various Capitol Hill offices, she doesn't appear to ever cross her legs,'' the writer says. "Her posture stands out because for so many women,...

THE MOTION TO RECOMMIT After the third reading of a bill (or resolution), but before the Speaker orders the vote on final passage of the bill (or resolution), a motion to recommit the bill, either with or without instructions, to the committee which originally reported it is in order. (Rule XVI and XVII) This motion is traditionally the right of the Minority and gives them one last chance to amend or kill the bill. Under the Republican changes to the rules of the House incorporated at the beginning of the 104th Congress, the Rules Committee may not report a special...

Campaign for Dillard issues the following News Release: (Chicago) – State Senator Kirk Dillard today threw his support behind State Senator Bill Brady in the race for Governor, saying it was “close,” but that Brady had won the Illinois Republican Primary. “I will help Senator Brady in any way I can to ensure the Republican Party wins back the Governor’s office in November,” Dillard said. Dillard had waited until the Illinois State Board of Elections had reported the final totals in the February 2 Primary election had been counted before conceding because of the narrow margin of Brady’s lead. “It...

Last Friday, Nikole Churchill became Hampton University's first non-black homecoming queen and the second non-black homecoming queen of any historically black college or university. Her crowning, by five judges, has caused controversy, as students and alumni debate whether Churchill deserves the distinction. The 22-year-old Churchill is Hawaiian, with an Italian mother and a father from Guam. According to WTKR, she was chosen out of 10 applicants in the competition and reportedly built her win on the platform of mentoring girls ages 11–14 on topics including "self-esteem, body image, teenage pregnancies and nutrition." No matter how strong her presentation, though, many...

Mrs. Lando wants to burn DVD copies of Video8 tapes from when our boys were young. The camcorder is a Sony (don't recall the model) and it has a mini-USB port. I believe it has a digital output. We took the tapes to Wolf Camera and they want $31.95 per tape. And, we have a pile of 'em. Any help or suggestions? Thanks in advance and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Lando

Governor Blagojevich will take Illinois' budget concerns to the east coast this week. His office says the Governor will meet with President-Elect Barack Obama and other governors Monday and Tuesday in Philadelphia to discuss how the federal government can help states address their state budget shortfalls. Blagojevich's office says it's part of his plan to manage Illinois' fiscal year 2009 budget deficit of $2 billion caused by the national economic downturn. Two weeks ago, Governor Blagojevich announced a four-pronged plan to manage Illinois' budget deficit. As part of that plan, the Governor sent a letter to congressional leaders and Obama's...

Sent this to both Senator McCain and Governor Palin. ------ Dear Senator McCain, Regarding the personal associations of Senator Obama with Ayers, Rezko, Wright... I have twin sons who are 16. They have grown up to be fine young men and I am very, very proud of them. Since they were little boys, I have told them, "Show me your friends, and I will show you your future." I am pleased to say that I could not have hand picked better friends than my boys have chosen for themselves. The same holds true for Senator Obama. His associations define him....
