BERLIN (Reuters) – A German entrepreneur is bypassing a European Union ban on light bulbs of more than 60 watts by marketing his own brand as mini heaters. Siegfried Rotthaeuser and his brother-in-law have come up with a legal way of importing and distributing 75 and 100 watt light bulbs -- by producing them in China, importing them as "small heating devices" and selling them as "heatballs."

To all the Bikers, I'm asking for help. Netmilsdad got a motorcyle last year. He is having problems with it now and can't find the solution. Any thoughts? He says... "Bike runs fine until you idle in traffic for a long time, it will start to misfire and eventually stall if you don’t give it gas. If it does stall, it will start back up. If you are driving, it does not misfire. The radiator was flushed, the back two ignition coils read the same, about 2 Ω’s cold." If anyone can give us a hint as to what to...

  • Could someone tell me, what is a Cadillac Healthplan? (vanity question)

    05/18/2010 9:00:00 AM PDT · by netmilsmom · 16 replies · 444+ views
My husband has been offered a new BC healthplan with no deductible. Does anyone know if this is considered a "Cadillac" healthplan? From what I have heard, if you have a "Cadillac" plan, you will be penalized $2800.00 by the government to help pay for Obamacare. We have the option to stay with our current plan and pay a 2000.00 deductible. In my mind, I would rather take the chance of paying 2000.00 than the guarantee of having to pay the government $2800.00 in penalty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help. My Godson is a miracle baby. He was due on Halloween day. The mom (my niece) was in a car accident and delivered early on October 10th. It was discovered that had the baby gone to full term, because of a major knot in the cord, he would have been stillborn. We thank The Lord every day for this baby. However, he is a screamer. He cries for hours at a time. (seven hours straight last night) My niece is breastfeeding. She has now, cut all dairy in her diet, and tried anti-reflux meds for him. Nothing is working....

Okay, we have tons of algebra programs that can work with numbers but do not have any help with Story problems. Can anyone tell us the formula for solving this, step by step. Nine pounds of Sweet Potatoes cost the same as Six pounds of Apples. One pound of Sweet Potatoes cost twice as much as one pound of Onions. While a pound of Apples costs 24 cents more than a pound of Onions. (we can't solve it with NO integers) Can anyone tell us how to do this?

There has been much contention regarding what effects, if any, health reform would have on medicare beneficiaries. This is a summary of the salient points made by both sides of the debate. The conclusion being: those relying on medicare Advantage will have benefits cut, yet Democrats cannot fund their government-run insurance option without first pushing out the private sector-run Medicare Advantage......

I want to say Thank you Holy Lord! My hubby (Netmilsdad) wiped out on his motorcycle today. He was on a very busy street (five lanes on both sides). I have a question. Why do conservatives allow ourselves to be called "Rednecks". I'm on YouTube and Digg. When a poster calls us uneducated Rednecks, no one says a word. Why don't we own this word? Why aren't we framing the conversation? I find it insulting to be called a dumb Redneck. Much more than to be called a dumb Pollack, because at least I'm Polish. If macaca is insulting, why is Redneck okay?

While viewing a thread about Rick Perry, I noticed that the tab at the top of my browser window was continuing to cycle. At the bottom, where it normally says, "Done" it said "Transfering data to Google Analytics.com" I looked it up on Wiki and it is a data gathering service. Was this from the link to the article or from the link to the film on the FReepathon entry? Or do I have a virus? Btw, I am logged in.

It's 2009, the end of a decade which -- when it comes to television -- was defined in large part by reality shows. By now, most of us reality fans have become a bit jaded. Backstabbing, catfights, rants, breakdowns - there's just not much shock value left anymore. So after Valleywag ran this story about public reaction to one man's behavior on (of all shows) "Wife Swap" a few weeks ago, it got me thinking about how this particular guy had disturbed and outraged so many people. If you've never seen the show, it's a basic enough concept. Two women,...
