At about 10 a.m., an officer on patrol in the 1900 block of Pacific Avenue in Atlantic City saw a 44-year-old woman, identified as Antoinette E. Pelzer, stabbing another woman. The officer drew his gun and ordered Pelzer to drop the knife. She complied and was taken into custody. Two Toronto women visiting Atlantic City were stabbed to death Monday in what police believe was a botched attempted robbery. The victims, aged 47 and 80, were alive when an ambulance arrived about 10 a.m., but died from their wounds in the afternoon at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus. Antoinette E. Pelzer, 44, of Philadelphia, is charged with aggravated assault, and weapons and robbery offences. The accused woman’s mother has told some media her daughter suffered from schizophrenia and was likely off her medication.

Anderson County deputies said that a girl who was shot and killed during a home invasion Sunday night was participating in the crime when she was shot. STOCKTON - An 18-year-old Stockton man was convicted Tuesday of raping an 87-year-old woman while he also burglarized her cottage home at O'Connor Woods retirement community Oct. 9, 2010. Kunta Shaquille Ali Rigmaden will be sentenced to 15 years to life at a hearing to be held within the next 28 days. Gainesville, Florida, police are investigating what they believe may have been a “racially motivated” attack early Tuesday morning stemming from the nationally covered Trayvon Martin case involving the tragic death of an unarmed 17-year-old. According to local news affiliates, a 27-year-old Gainesville man was walking home from the bars early Tuesday morning when he said he was jumped by five to eight men who yelled “Trayvon” before the attack. The call before the attack appears to be in reference to the Sandford case that has rocked national headlines, and led to broader societal discussions on crime and race.

The fourth person wanted in connection with the brutal robbery and beating of a soldier stationed at MacDill Air Force Base turned himself in today, Tampa police say. A group of diners angry that their food was taking too long shot and killed a cook in southern California in what police are calling “a random dispute that went tragically wrong.” The cook, 38-year-old Raul Lopez, was working one of his two jobs he has to support his wife and five children. Police are looking for leads in the bizarre murder of a mother who tried to slow down a speeding car. Wendy Fisher, 40, was across the street from her home in the Overlook Heights community when witnesses say a car sped down her street.   Fisher signaled for the car to slow down, then the driver stopped the vehicle and at least one person got out and started shooting.
