It's clear that the liberal media will latch on to any argument, even the most patently nonsensical, to oppose a travel ban on people from Ebola-affected countries. Take today's Good Morning America where co-anchors Paula Faris and Dan Harris accused Americans of "hysteria" over Ebola and concoted an anti-travel ban argument flying right into the face of the facts. Speaking of flying, the oblivious duo asserted that a flight ban makes no sense since Ebola can only be passed via contact with bodily fluids. But surely Faris and Harris know that Thomas Eric Duncan had no such symptoms when he...

The lurid, stereotypical tale of Sarah Palin and her family entering into an alcohol-fueled melee at a snowmobile party is starting to pick up in the mainstream media, with Good Morning America devoting an entire segment to the story this morning. In doing so, they talked to Eric Thompson, an eyewitness who attended the party at the invitation of his boss. But Thompson, who also gave his account to Alaskan political blogger Amanda Coyne, was fired today for talking to the media.

Robin Roberts was the target of a man who threatened to punch her in the face for not paying a debt, and now he’s behind bars. 43-year-old Troy Warren was arrested Monday after showing up at the GMA studio eight times between June 10 and June 24. A security officer told NYPD Warren threatened to punch Robin in the face because she owed him money. …

It's easy to scare people about what's in their food, but the danger is almost never real. And the fear itself kills. Take the panic over genetically modified organisms, or GMOs. Ninety percent of all corn grown in America is genetically modified now. That means it grew from a seed that scientists altered by playing with its genes. The new genes may make corn grow faster, or they may make it less appetizing to bugs so farmers can use fewer pesticides. This upsets some people. GMOs are "unnatural," they say. A scene from the movie "Seeds of Death" warns that...

Progressives Today has learned, and confirmed from sources very close to the story, that Good Morning America was planning a segment on James Okeefes latest sting video ……… And that Good Morning America killed the story. Their lawyers stepped in and killed it. Progressives Today spoke with GMA producers today who declined to comment on the story. News broke yesterday on the Hollywood Reporter website of Okeefe’s latest project, a sting operation designed to expose the corrupt and collaborative world of A-list Hollywood stars, producers, and Progressive NGO’s and non-profits like MoveOn.org that effectively make up a Hollywood environmental lobby....

For the MSM, any excuse is good to push for ever-bigger government . . . Take today's Good Morning America. ABC used a run-of-the-mill bank robbery story to blame a national increase in violent crime on "a lack of federal funding." View the video here.

It's a classic example of the MSM's use of sympathetic individual anecdotes to manipulate public opinion in favor of more and bigger government. Today's Good Morning America segment on the looming government shutdown, narrated by former New York Times reporter Jeff Zeleny, offered the stories of just two people, both African-Americans, who could be hurt by a government shutdown. And check out the screen graphic: not to dramatize things or nuthin', but ABC plaintively wonders how federal workers would "survive." ABC could have balanced its report with stories of younger people who will see their health insurance premiums double or...

Is it right to make death threats against George Zimmerman and his family? ABC News isn't sure. In a Good Morning America news segment today on the Trayvon Martin case, as the ABC reporter spoke from Sanford, Florida, this graphic was displayed across the bottom of the screen: "ARE DEATH THREATS GOING TOO FAR?" View the video here.

[snip] Good Morning America had on Mellody Hobson, a regular ABC "financial contributor" and former host of her own ABC financial-advice show. Hobson hit S&P hard, expressing the view that "everything that they do is suspect." There's just one little factoid ABC didn't share with viewers. While presented as an ostensibly objective financial expert, Chicagoan Hobson in fact is an Obama partisan. Hobson served as a big-time fundraiser during Obama's 2008 presidential campaign and is involved with his 2012 campaign. View video here.

Good Morning America to Botox Mom: We're Canceling That $10K Check!Today 9:37 AM PDT by Marianne Garvey Botox Mom might not be cashing in on her bogus story. A day after coming forward and saying she made up the tale of injecting her 8-year-old daughter with the wrinkle-removing concoction, Sheen Upton is getting stiffed herself—ABC says it won't be paying her the $10,000 the network's Good Morning America forked over to secure her first TV interview as a "photo licensing fee." Here's where things stand in the sordid saga. As we reported yesterday, Upton says she was paid $200 by...

Call me a cynic, but I've been dubious about just how accidental were President Obama's supposedly "hot mic" remarks about his budget negotations with the Republicans. Does a president who has been frequently criticized for a lack of toughness really mind being "caught" sounding muy macho? My skepticism was sharpened by GMA's report on the matter this morning. The graphic referred to Obama's "tough talk." And for good measure, John Avlon of the lefty Daily Beast was imported to declare that the president's supposedly candid performance "heightens his reputation for leadership." I know what you're thinking: what reputation? View video...

If Pres. Obama's signal fight in the coming year will be preserving ObamaCare, he can count on at least one ally in his struggle with Republicans: ABC News and in particular its Political Director, Amy Walters. On GMA today, Walters issued a stern warning to Republicans who might have the audacity of hoping to repeal ObamaCare. The segment began with a montage of Republicans vowing to do do, including an oddly mocking replay of a Mitch McConnell moment. Then Walters appeared to announce her admonition. In a rare interview with ABC's "Good Morning America," former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on Friday criticized the $858 billion tax cut bill that passed through Congress early this morning, calling the legislation "a lousy deal" that "creates a temporary economy with even more uncertainty for businesses and it does increase taxes." "I think it's a lousy deal and we can do better for the American people," Palin told GMA's Robin Roberts, in an interview in her Alaska home. The "new Congress is seated the first week of January," Palin continued. "It is better to wait until they are...

When candidate Obama bragged of campaigning in 57 states, or Pres. Obama suggested that the national language of Austria is "Austrian," we all remember how ABC flaunted those embarrassing flubs. Or not. But let Sarah Palin momentarily mention North rather than South Korea as our ally, and ABC finds it newsworthy. Check out the video after the jump, containing the news scroll from today's Good Morning America.

This could do down as one of the more glaring MSM double-standards in recent times . . . Today's Good Morning America continued the MSM hand-wringing over Sarah Palin tweeting that conservatives should "reload." But Harry Reid chose the day Palin was in his hometown to stage a photo-op of himself going shooting. And how did GMA characterize that? As Reid "being in the cross-hairs" and "doing his best not to seem threatened." Imagine if the tables were turned and on a day Reid visited Wasilla, Palin had publicly chosen to go shooting. Oh, the MSM wailing and gnashing of...
