North Carolina’s Civitas Institute has revealed that the North Carolina State Board of Elections and the Obama campaign conspired to register at least 11,000 people via the internet in violation of state law. This has been confirmed through records requests filed with all of North Carolina’s 100 counties. The counting is not yet complete. North Carolina does not allow online voting, but according to Civitas, SBE staff authorized an Obama campaign website, Gottaregister.com, to use a web-based registration program. RALEIGH, N.C. -- Linda Coleman, the Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, called Republican Dan Forest Monday morning to concede the race. Coleman trailed by 11,000 votes after election night, but her campaign claimed that perhaps thousands of ballots hadn't been counted that should have been. As mail-in ballots and provisional ballots have trickled in since Election Day, Republican candidate Dan Forest's lead has dwindled.

Jimmy Green's stepdaughter had never voted before. The 57-year-old is mentally disabled, and Green said she doesn't understand the concept of casting a ballot. USAction today released two new battleground polls, one showing President Obama leading 47 to 44 percent in North Carolina and the other showing him leading 48 to 43 percent in Wisconsin. The polls, commissioned by USAction and our partner Project New America, were conducted by Grove Insight. These polls are the latest in a series of battleground state polls released this week. On Monday of this week, Democrats in North Carolina clearly violated North Carolina state law in their efforts to turn out the vote for Barack Obama. At roughly 10 a.m., two vans of students who worked at the North Carolina Jobs Corps location in Oconoluftee were transported from that location to the Swain County Board of Education one-stop voting location in order to cast their votes. The vans used to carry the passengers were Job Corps vans driven by Danny Muse, the son of O’neal Muse, a Democrat Swain County Board of education election official.

GREENSBORO, N.C. –The presidential election is just around the corner and voting issues have already become a problem in Guilford County. On Monday, several voters complained that their electronic ballot machine cast the wrong vote. All the complaints were made by people who voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location. Raleigh, N.C. — Historically high turnout by black voters helped President Barack Obama win North Carolina in 2008 by 14,000 votes, which was his narrowest margin of victory nationwide.
