Pakistan’s most urbanized province lacks the “political commitment” and resources to properly educate its people, so the Obama Administration is stepping in to offer a little of both. Obama through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) launched the five-year Community Mobilization Project (CMP) which will deploy contractors to advise officials and communities in Pakistan’s Sindh Province. CMP represents one component of the broader U.S. –funded Sindh Basic Education Program (SBEP), for which the White House last year pledged to infuse about $86 million toward improving targeted Pakistani educational systems.

Few are the men and women in American public life who haven't heard Mr. Dooley's famous aphorism: "Politics ain't beanbag." John Boehner, currently serving out his community service as speaker of the House, appears to have been meditating on Mr. Dooley's cautionary wisdom. At the Ripon Society last week he said the Obama administration was trying "to annihilate the Republican Party." Better late than never, Speaker Boehner now sees that Barack Obama's notion of political competition is Mad Max inside the Thunderdome: "Two men enter, one man leaves." Last week during the president's second inaugural address, if one can employ...

The 2012 presidential campaign is over, but not for President Obama. The community organizer turned Senator turned president, who ran on hope and change in 2008 and its antipode character assassination in 2012, has no intention of putting politics behind him. Rather, he is seeking to wage a total war against the Republicans for their political immiseration. Total war is a two-pronged approach to battle: first, mobilizing the entire population for the war effort; and second, targeting the entire enemy population, not just its military. Examples from World War Two include German submarine attacks on merchant ships and passenger ships,...

By tarring conservatives as racist during the 2012 presidential campaign, MSNBC “essentially” mounted “a voter suppression campaign,” says the author of a new book on media bias. “Some of the quotes I have in ‘Spin Masters’– you might remember them if you watch a lot of MSNBC — still make me cringe,” David Freddoso, author of the recently released book “Spin Masters: How the Media Ignored the Real News and Helped Reelect Barack Obama,” told The Daily Caller. “For example, Chris Matthews asserting that conservatives were giving Romney a long leash (ideologically speaking) because they are racists, I mean, come...

Organizing for Action, the non-profit iteration of Barack Obama´s campaign organization, decorated its first big email blast with the well-known campaign logo of Obama for America. Jim Messina, the chairman of Organizing for Action, purportedly authored the email sent Tuesday, featuring the subject line "I need to know: Are you ready to get this done?" Messina was referring to the President´s new immigration legislation proposals, which he promoted at a campaign-style event in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday. The language of the email is similar to emails sent by Obama for America during the 2012 presidential campaign:

In today's episode of "As The Reichstag Burns", let's talk about Dianne Frankenfeinstein's (H/T Mark Levin) attempt to ban "assault weapons". (Just so you know, "assault weapons" are vewy, vewy scawy guns that make homosexual agenda-pushing commie libtards poop themselves. No gun aficionado I know of has ever used the term.) Before we get started, a little housekeeping is in order. I know there are some out there who are in the "It Will Never Get Through The House" camp. To those dunderheads, I say this: The current Republican't (no typo) party has just raised raised taxes and is now...

You've heard of the security state, in reference to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security efforts to keep us safe and keep watch on threats from abroad; and the welfare state, the national apparatus designed to provide health care and sustenance to those in need. Well, some among us are proposing the pistol-packing state, which would arm virtually everyone with a weapon to be whipped out to shoot the bad guys whenever and wherever they're encountered. At least that's what Wayne LaPierre, a spokesman for the National Rifle Association, and his ilk seem to be recommending as a way of...

Industrial policy: After lithium-ion batteries caught fire on Boeing's new Dreamliner, stories popped up about how dangerous they are. Turns out they're the same kind of batteries President Obama is forcing into U.S. cars. This month, a Boeing 787 battery caught fire while the plane was sitting at Logan Airport in Boston. Another 787 was forced to land while flying over Japan, forcing Boeing to ground its fleet of state-of-the-art 787s. In the wake of these events, the press suddenly took notice of the risks posed by lithium-ion batteries. USA Today complained that the FAA should have been more cautious...

A 15-year-old Chicago girl who reportedly performed with her school’s marching band at several events for President Obama’s inauguration last week was shot and killed on Tuesday afternoon, police said. The girl, whom local reports identified as Hadiya Pendleton, died when a gunman opened fire on her and about a dozen other teenagers while they were hanging out at a park in Chicago, according to Chicago Police officer Jose Estrada. For Obama, the shooting hits home at a time when he is pushing Congress to enact stricter gun laws that he says would curb not only mass shootings but also...

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - Fear of the unknown about what could happen with gun laws is driving people to gun shops nationwide. "It's just been crazy, absolutely crazy. If I had to guess I'd say between five and ten times the business some days," Frontiersman Gun Shop owner Kory Krause said Tuesday night. .... Krause says anytime shootings like that happen people come to his shop in droves. "In the last 30 days we did, we sold well over 1,000 guns," Krause said.

CHICAGO - The godfather of a 15-year-old girl who was killed when a gunman opened fire on a group of young people in Chicago says she was a terrific student who had dreams of becoming a doctor or a lawyer. Damon Stewart says Hadiya Pendleton had been so excited about a trip to Washington, D.C., where she performed as a majorette at some of President Barack Obama's inauguration events.

With all this talk out there about gun control, it's hard to know who actually has power. This video with David Rivkin does a good job breaking down what Obama can ACTUALLY do. Maybe Obama will finally realize he needs to keep his hands off our guns and let Congress keep the second amendment alive.

It is a nation racked by poverty, where 13 million people survive on less than £1 a day, and two million have no access to a toilet. Yet as his people struggle in squalor, South African president Jacob Zuma has sparked outrage by spending £17.5 million to upgrade his rural family home.

The Great Gun Debate shows American political discourse at its irrational worst; with both left and right promoting panic and hysteria that distracts attention from the nation’s truly menacing problems. Instead of addressing crushing deficits, economic stagnation, political gridlock, and the erosion of middle-class security, politicians and pundits obsess over gun violence—one of the few challenges where the United States has made dramatic progress in recent years. How can the president and his supporters work themselves into a self-righteous lather over minor regulatory adjustments that have been tried before with no measurable impact on the rate of firearms crime? And...

'God, Guns and Constitution' leader fears 'civil unrest' coming WASHINGTON – The highest levels of the U.S. government are fomenting “civil unrest” that soon could leave “blood in our streets,” a key Christian pastor said Tuesday at a pro-Second Amendment rally in Washington. Rev. William Owens Jr., director of community outreach for the Coalition of African-American Pastors and leader of God, Guns & the Constitution, said America has in many ways has passed the point of no return and its citizens will have to be “chastised” before they awaken to the reality of their situation. His goal now is “strengthening...

Give the administration credit for its creativity. The theatrical show President Obama and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. are putting on in their effort to foist gun control on the public disguises a more subtle push to disarm America in the name of protecting cops. On Monday, Mr. Obama invited police chiefs from towns that have had mass shootings to the White House for a discussion on firearms and, more importantly, a photo opportunity.

President Obama is riding a wave of personal popularity into his second term, with his highest favorability ratings since his first year in office, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.Fully 60 percent of Americans have a favorable impression of Obama in the new poll, up slightly from October but a clear shift in opinion from an election year in which his ratings hovered in the mid-to-low 50s. And by 39 percent to 26 percent, the president now has more “strongly†positive ratings than strongly negative reviews, breaking a two-year stretch in which intense opposition was on par...

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled that President Obama’s “recess appointments” to the National Labor Relations Board last January were invalid. The decision effectively nullifies every action taken by the NLRB over the last year. The Obama Administration is expected to appeal the Court’s decision, alleging that “the pro forma sessions convened by the Senate to avoid being in a ‘recess status’ were a sham aimed at denying the President the opportunity to make valid recess appointments as provided for in the Constitution.” The fact that the Senate is controlled by the...
