The journalists of the White House Correspondents' Association have been awarded DW's 2017 Freedom of Speech Award. DW said the WHCA had established a new benchmark in holding US leadership accountable.

Only three Republicans are represented in Politico Magazine‘s poll of the White House press corps asking their thoughts about covering President Trump's administration. The new proposal bars the online publication of a "false or deceptive statement designed to influence the vote." Bye-bye online news.
