I have a good friend who let me know his nephew was, once again, in the hospital this week. He's had a life full of hospital stays and doctors. Poor little guy was born with just one lung and has just one kidney. He's autistic and and has also been recently diagnosed with Tourrett's. His blood pressure is very elevated and they are keeping him in the hospital for awhile.

Glenn Beck welcomed David Barton, a friend, on his Thursday evening program to tackle the issue face-to-face. He said that Barton is one of the most “honest and decent” men he knows and that, while he won‘t question the motives of the historian’s detractors, doesn‘t question Barton’s integrity for a moment. There are multiple clips, listed in chronological order:

An experiment five years ago suggested that babies are equipped with an innate moral compass, which drives them to choose good individuals over the bad in a wooden puppet show. But new research casts doubt on those findings, demonstrating that a baby's apparent preference for what's right might just reflect a fondness for bouncy things. The researchers who conducted the original study stand by their results and interpretations, pointing to some discrepancies in the new study. In the original study, conducted by Yale researchers in 2007, groups of 6-month-olds and 10-month-olds watched a puppet show with neutral wooden figures, where...

The world is immersed in the greatest crisis since World War II. Americans are groping for answers, without success. Just as the trillion dollar bailout was being passed, Congressman John Boehner glanced at the words emblazed in granite over the Speaker’s chair. He wisely said, “when this bill passes, remember those words ‘In God we Trust,’ because we are going to need His help.” Americans have been turning away from Him and history, His story, for decades. At the start of the 20th century our true history was rewritten (“revisionist history”), and has since been forgotten. As C.S. Lewis says,...

A former Catholic nun in Kerala, India has run into legal trouble after the ghostwriter of her autobiography disowned the book, describing it as a pack of lies, reports Ucanews. Mary Chandy, 68 (pictured), who claims to be a former nun of the Daughters of the Presentation of Mary, had written in her book that abortions and sexual harassment were rife within religious congregations in India. The book, Swasthy [Hail]: The Revelations of Sister Mary Chandy, was released in April and became a best seller in Malyalam, the south Indian state’s native language. But Jose Pazhookkaran, who assisted Chandy in...

<p>ANAHEIM – A former Disney employee filed a federal lawsuit Monday accusing Disney of discrimination based on her religion.</p>
<p>In her suit, Imane Boudlal claims Disney refused to let her wear her religious headscarf – or hijab – at work in view of customers when she worked as a restaurant hostess at the Storytellers' Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel in Downtown Disney. "We presented Ms. Boudlal with multiple options to accommodate her religious beliefs, as well as offered her several roles that would have allowed her to wear her own hijab. ... "Unfortunately, she rejected all of our efforts and has since refused to come to work."</p>

Neil Peart on introverts, learning to improvise, and why people should be nicer to one another Rush’s drummer and lyricist talks to Mike Doherty by Mike Doherty on Monday, August 13, 2012 Rush’s 20th studio release, Clockwork Angels, hit No. 1 in Canada in June—not bad for a steampunk, progressive rock concept album. Its story, about a young man who flees a land designed to function in perfect mechanical order, reflects the philosophy of drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. Now living in Santa Monica with his wife and daughter, the native of St. Catharines, Ont., is preparing with his long-time...

The title of this thread "Who Really Killed the Pax Romana?" refers to a recent post at Gates of Vienna Blog written by Baron Bodissey. The Baron reviews the book Mohammed and Charlemagne Revisited: The History of a Controversy by Emmet Scott. If you have an interest in the subject of the Greco-Roman legacy and Islam as they relate to the sudden decline of medieval Europe this book will expose the linkage between Islam's destructive forces at that time and have you reconsider the implications of current events related to Islam today. Scott argues that the collapse of Latin-Greek civilization...

August 10, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) - Federal prosecutors are presenting their case in a trial against a Mennonite pastor who is accused of helping a single motherescape from the United States with her daughter to evade court-ordered visits with a lesbian whom the court declared to be the girl’s second “mother.” Ex-lesbian Lisa Miller fled the country after her efforts failed to keep former “civil union” partner Janet Jenkins from having access to her child, Isabella. Jenkins never adopted Isabella and has no biological relationship with the girl, who exhibited signs of emotional trauma following forced visits with Jenkins, according to...

I am ANNOUNCING that in the coming days, we will release a bombshell more explosive than before. This time, it’s the link between the family of Huma Abedin, the closest advisor to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Wahhabist grand plan in Saudi Arabia. It is a plan that represents a grave threat to the United States. I promise you’ve never heard anything like this before—not in a million years. Let’s start with the man who founded the Abedins’ organization, the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA), which will be included in our upcoming report. His name is Abdullah...

Recently, an article appeared in Fredericksburg.com, complaining about a Fourth of July ad run by Hobby Lobby that included several quotes reflecting the religious heritage of America. (Several of Hobby Lobby’s different holiday message ads can be seen here). The Fredericksburg article claimed that three of the historical declarations made in the ad were inaccurate, but historical documentation demonstrates that it is the critics and not Hobby Lobby who were errant in their claims. A. Complaint in Article: As referenced in the ad, John Jay did write a letter in which he declared it "the duty, as well as the...

The Chick-fil-A staff member who was verbally abused by a customer for the fast-food firms anti-gay marriage stance has said she has forgiven him and is willing to meet him. The girl, who would only identify herself as Rachel, told Fox News that she bares no ill-feeling towards Adam Smith, whose anti-Chick-fil-A video stunt backfired on him last week causing him to lose his job. 'I do forgive him. I think he realizes how bad it was to make that tape,' said Elizabeth after hearing a snippet of Smith’s subsequent apology video. 'I feel sorry for him and his family,...

The most terrifying danger Americans face from a second Barack Obama term isn’t the economy, which is scary enough. The most harrowing prospect is the Obama Administration’s passivity in the face of attempts to introduce aspects of sharia law into our legal system. Now there is strong and open evidence of the Obama administration collaborating with Islamist activists to ensure the path toward sharia law is accelerated.

Seventy-five years ago, on August 5, 1937, one of the most horrific — and most ignored — episodes in human history began. “Operation Kulak” ("kulak" meaning rich peasants) was the Soviet Union’s effort to repress those farmers who had a little more than other farmers (according, at least, to the definitions of the Communist Party), and who resisted collectivization. Soviet dictator Josef Stalin (pictured) had begun the development of “Operation Kulak” the previous month, when he contacted all the regional Party leaders as well as the NKVD (roughly the Soviet equivalent of the Gestapo and SS in Nazi Germany), asking...

At the press conference a Sikh woman asked when they could get back into their temple to pray. She was told that it would be awhile because it is a crime scene. I don't know any Milwaukee Freepers and I don't know the specific rules of Sikhs r.e. where they can pray.
