LEOMINSTER, Mass. - A Leominster officer who investigators say directed a racial slur at Boston Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford has been fired by Mayor Dean Mazzarella. Witnesses said Officer John Perrault, who is white, began heckling Crawford, who is black, before a July 5 minor league Portland Sea Dogs game in Manchester, N.H., earlier this month.
