The “number one advice” Elizabeth Banks has for high school girls has nothing to do with hard work, self-confidence or chasing dreams. In a Variety piece entitled, “Elizabeth Banks on Becoming a Director, Mentoring Young Women,” news editor Alex Stedman spoke with actress Elizabeth Banks (Spider-Man, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) about her recent accomplishments, including Banks’ “directorial feature debut” in Pitch Perfect 2. A judge Friday ordered a mental examination for a former child actor who unleashed a verbal tirade during a sentencing hearing. Peter Robbins, 58, who provided the voice of Charlie Brown in several "Peanuts" animated television specials from 1965 to 1969, was set to be sentenced to jail for probation violations from his guilty plea to threatening an ex-girlfriend and her plastic surgeon. Star Trek actress and NASA recruitment ambassador Nichelle Nicols is recovering in hospital following a stroke. Nichols – best known for playing Lt Nyota Uhura on TV and in the Star Trek film franchise – suffered a mild stroke while at her home in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening. Her agent Zach McGinnis informed Nichols’ followers on her Facebook page of the stroke.
