A very brief vanity. I was just musing on the pattern of electing presidents, and it seems to me that the proper job preparation is to be a state governor, not a U.S. Senator. By the latest numbers, Bush won a popular vote victory by a margin of 3.12%. It has been said (by Dick Morris) that it is a virtual statistical impossibility to win a majority of electoral votes with more than a 0.7% popular vote deficit. Now that the election is over, I've made a decision. New Mexico and Iowa have clearly gone Bush....none of the media outlets have called it. Yet the AP has called New Mexico and with 100% in Iowa...it should be called as well. Yes, we won...but demand the call for these states be made now. They were made with even less votes for Kerry in Wisconsin and New Hampshire.
