• Why My Sundays Are So Lonely (and why I’d leave my husband for Matt Drudge or Jerry Klein)

    07/27/2008 2:04:46 PM PDT · by SilvieWaldorfMD · 41 replies · 309+ views

The difference between going through a Sunday as a married woman versus as a single gal is striking. First of all, in my single hood days in D.C., I’d be arriving back at my condo in the wee hours of the morning and would sleep and nurse a hangover for the rest of the day. As a married woman and mom in suburban Maryland, my Sundays are quiet and mainly consist of doing things with my family or around the house. However, during football season my husband and son normally get involved with sports and “NFL Sunday” for the whole day, giving me precious time to myself. During this “precious time”, I read the newspapers, watch news programs on T.V. and other media, and listen to talk radio for the entire afternoon and evening. Until recently.

  • Obama, "The Vast Majority Of Muslims," And The Rest Of Us

So now that you know that the rest of the world loves Obama, how about you? I raised that question last Thursday night on my radio talk show at Washington, DC’s 630 WMAL, albeit rather facetiously. Despite what the forces at CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Rueters, The New York Times, and “CNN International” may want me to believe, I don’t assume that “the world loves Obama,” anymore than I assume that “the world hates Bush.” But now that the week of cathartic revelry is behind us and the excitement has subsided a little bit, it’s time for some reflection....

  • The "Fairness Doctrine" Is The Least Of Our Concerns

    Townhall.com ^ | June 29, 2008 | Austin Hill
Barack Obama has weighed-in on the issue of reinstating the so-called “Fairness Doctrine.” After being repeatedly questioned about the candidate’s position, campaign Press Secretary Michael Ortiz stated in an email message that “Senator Obama does not support re-imposing the Fairness Doctrine on broadcasters.” This position could be yet another one of those “deeply-held convictions” that Obama believes in unequivocally, similar to his long-held position on campaign finance reform. In January of 2007, Obama stated in a CNN interview with Larry King that the public-financing system “works.” Later that year, Mr. Obama challenged Republican presidential candidates to join him in limiting...

Go to minute 2:40 through 4:59 on the link above. She also said that thugs "will have a jump on you". D.C. delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton's comments are absurd and idiotic. Actually, "idiotic" is putting it mildly. This is an interview she did last evening with 630 WMAL, Washington, D.C.
  • Obama Bows to Muslim Demands

Barack Obama succumbed to Muslim demands. It started at a campaign event that Obama held last Monday, at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena. There have been very few news reports about this matter, but they all seem to point to a consistent turn of events. Before the event kicked-off, a campaign staffer (who apparently was female and black, should anybody care) approached two young men in the crowd and asked if they’d like to sit up on the platform, and appear behind Obama while he was speaking from the podium. As the two guys accepted the invitation, one of them asked...

Ingraham Takes Award, Doesn't Explain Radio Silence *** WITH IMPORTANT UPDATED DETAILS *** Less than a week after her sudden absence from the radio airwaves, syndicated talker Laura Ingraham found herself in a truly awkward position while picking up a radio industry award Saturday evening. And today, the mystery over her program's fate has only deepened. During the 2008 New Media Seminar, a talk radio convention held in Manhattan, Ingraham received the "Judy Jarvis Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions by a Woman to Talk Radio". Touching on her past accomplishments in talk radio, Ingraham gave a brief speech to attendees,...

All right, 630 WMAL fans! Here's the latest scoop from the DCRTV.org blog [i.e. "rag"]-- Hannity To 3WT? TNT's Talkers To MAL & 3WT? - 6/3 - When we asked a top 3WTer about whether the Bonneville talker was talking to afternoon righty talk radio icon Sean Hannity, we were met with dead silence. Not a denial. Which makes us really wonder if there's some truth to the rumors that Hannity may soon be bolting from Citadel's family of stations, including WMAL. Also, it appears that Hannity could be talking to Fox or Premiere or Mark Masters about taking over...
