Engineer stuns archaeology experts by rubbishing their theories about how the pyramids were built

Peter James believes ancient Egyptians formed the huge tombs by piling up rubble and small rocks on the inside and attaching the large bricks on the outside later rather than using giant blocks carried up ramps.

There's much debate over how the pyramids were buil AN engineer dubbed Indiana James has stunned archaeologists by rubbishing their theories on how the pyramids were built.

Peter James believes ancient Egyptians formed the huge tombs by piling up rubble and small rocks on the inside and attaching the large bricks on the outside later.

His claim challenges hundreds of years of accepted belief that the pyramids were built with giant blocks carried up huge ramps.

The structural engineer, who has spent the past 20 years studying the pyramids, reckons that would be impossible.

He explained: “Under the current theories, to lay the two million stone blocks required the Egyptians would have to have laid a large block once every three minutes on long ramps.

“The pyramids are also so tall that the ramps for the stones would have had to have been at least a quarter of a mile long.

“If that happened, there would still be signs that the ramps had been there, and there aren’t any.”

Peter, who has been an engineer for 54 years, admitted his theory would be controversial.

He said: “I’m going to have a war with archaeologists.

“They will say, ‘How would you know? You’re not an archaeologist.’

“But if you wanted a house built, would you use me or an archaeologist?

“They have never had the engineering experience.”

Peter and his team at Cintec International, based in south Wales, are world leaders in restoring ancient structures and have worked deep inside two pyramids to stop them from collapsing.

The book on the Dogon/Sirius B has already been shown to be nonsense.

JAW’s claim that the Sphinx is much older than the 4th Dynasty has already been examined by geologists (the best known being Robert Schoch) and found to be correct; much of the rest of the book falls into the usual imagineering of mystical symbolism. The Egyptians had their own magical thinking about the use of writing and carved idols, but I’ve never seen JAW claim that he could read hieroglyphic, hieratic, or demotic texts.

“Archaeologists excavate tell sites to interpret architecture, purpose, and date of occupation.”

That’s a tell tale.

And if its a really high mound, it’s a tall tell tale.

DManA — “Seems easy to prove or disprove this. Drill into the core and see what's in there.” —

Shades of Sitchin, the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, discovered in 2005, is 722 feet taller than the Great Pyramid of Giza. Radio carbon dating shows the pyramid to be at least 24,800 years old.

Professor Joseph Davidovits, mentioned several times on this thread, is involved in studying the pyramid.

Material Analysis shows that the structure is composed at least partially of man-made concrete.

Oh yes!

I have been wondering of late if the pyramid in Alaska's tundra is sunken below the surface because of changes to the region caused by the last Ice Age. [Oops, I don't think I was supposed to mention that.]

fool in paradise — “Maybe the pyramids are millions of years older than previously believed. < /sarc >” —

Not millions of years older, but I do believe thousands of years older. The date when Modern humans emerged has moved back thousands of years farther than would have been believed just a short time ago, and in my opinion will eventually recede farther than we would accept today.

There are many pyramidal shapes on Mars which appear to be perhaps millions of years abandoned. But I would still like to have a plausible explanation for the six sided vortex at the North Pole of Saturn.

I believe that you're talking about the famous Nephilum vacation resort. I can't remember what they call it though.

No, I was referring to the Cassini photographed six-sided storm vortex at Saturn’s North Pole and the numerous large pyramidal shapes photographed by US and Russian orbiters around Mars. I haven’t a clue regarding ‘Nephilim’(?), I was referring to real things found in photographs from interplanetary voyages by man-made space craft..

Yes, I'm familiar with the Mars pyramids, and I believe that they should be a higher priority than they are (apparently) being given.

That six-sided storm vortex I have never seen until you mentioned it and I looked it up. I thought I was keeping up with things like that; guess not though.

‘Nephilim’ is the word translated as ‘giants’ in the Bible, as in “there were giants in those days.”

In modern usage, Nephilim usually refers to the theories of Zecharia Sitchin, telling the story of beings our ancestors called gods. They came from another world that orbits around our own sun, but in an eccentric, hard to find orbit.

>”The Egyptians didn’t build them. Obama did”<

Without the help of Hillary and her giant Pair of Cankles to support the weight, even Lord Obama might have failed.

Of course, had he failed, it wouldn’t have ben Obama’s Fault, it would be Gravity’s Fault.

Gravity is the Egyptian, (or is it Kenyan), word for Bush.
