That's a great story...makes me think of Noah's ark.
Somehow, some way, someone will blame this on Trump.
The families should have been notified.
The families shouldn’t have needed to be notified. They should have had this on their radars.
The nursing home is off the hook for one thing: it can’t make families care.
Did Houston’s mayor, who refused to evacuate as the Governor suggested, lead the rescue?
How did they not get electrocuted?
The message I get from this picture are wise, aged Americans who are displaying fortitude in a dire circumstance unlike the bleating, pathetic people we saw outside the arena in New Orleans during Katrina. These folks have obviously survived a lot in life and they have a lot more to show the youth of this country what life is all about. I maybe wrong, but it looks like one lady is knitting in that easy chair.

Eventually people will start talking about the info from the law firm from thursday bout the city council meeting. Law firm said the post was not accurate but wouldn’t say it was fabricated.
I suspect it was not a hoax as so many have tried to claim. Dem mayor went on the defense when that info went viral
50 inches of water..100k homes effected...the person tried to warn people to get out
Nursing home owner said they were told to stay put. It is her family that managed to get them rescued through twitter
Told by whom, I wonder? When? Anyone know the name of the facility, if it’s public or private?
I couldn’t believe this was real when I first saw the pictures. Thanks to those who rescued them and there needs to be a criminal investigation into how this happened.
I posted about this quite a bit yesterday
Owner told family member in Florida ..they tweeted trying to get help..it went viral. A lot of the tweets didnt know name of home. For a while some claimed it was a hoax
Well, I’m thinking of my own mother who was in a nursing home...just the thought of her in waist high water makes me shake! But I lived about 20 minutes from her.
Boy, TX does not make it easy to find inspection reports on the facilities they regulate. WTG, Gov. Still looking....
Btw..I dont know who told them..might have been a generic warning to public...or specific
I suspect we will hear more later since so many people outraged over that pic
We’ve stayed where we are for just that reason. From the reporting I’ve just seen, looks like it was a family raising Cain that got the rescue started.
And still looking for the dang inspection reports....
TX does have a state run assisted living facility in Corpus Christi. Wonder if that was evacuated....
And still looking for those inspection reports...
We made a decision to stay near my parents. Sometimes I regretted it but at least my conscience is clear. I worry about these women because they are elderly, sick and sitting in filthy cold water for God knows how long.
The families should have been notified.
The families shouldnt have needed to be notified. They should have had this on their radars.
The nursing home is off the hook for one thing: it cant make families care.
This is disgraceful. Perhaps these gallant ladies have no family left living to notify.
This is on the so called management...
...they were rescued by helicopter...
Multiple reports saying they were initially rescued by locals in boats.
And I STILL haven’t been able to find state inspection reports for La Bella Vita.
Q for Gov Abbott: Why the heck is that info so hard to find?!
