I Can Prove the Sex of a Human

Can you prove the sex of a human? How? Are there standards? I am familiar with the basic concept of identifying sexual organs but that concept is disturbed now and includes an added declaration from the individual. I didn’t want to get into how that came about.

I am pondering how I would prove I am a male if proof were required. I am serious, after I declare I am male what further evidence is required for proof? Do I provide birth and baptism records? Is physical evidence still acceptable.

I was just wondering because I have a test that would prove which of the two sexes one is, at least to my satisfaction. More study would be required to test surgically altered humans.

OK, so it was a TV show, but based on a real forensic anthropologist, and the lead character in “BONES” was able to ID the gender and race of a 200 year old skeleton by certain bones, i.e, the width of one’s pelvis, the shape of the skull. I would think it’s pretty basic for anyone who has studied forensic anthropology.

I had to go into Manhattan today, something I try to avoid. Of course, the subway had signal problems and was running extremely late. Instead of 30 minutes, it took me about 90 minutes to get home, stuffed into the first car to come along in an hour. And for my troubles, I got to see ads like the following plastered on the subway car's wall right in front of my face:

My tax dollars going for crap like this while everyone having to use the subway and bus system suffers horribly like I did today with a signal problem.

And this poster (also on the subway wall) proudly proclaims another toilet to throw my taxpayer money away on. Now I have to subsidize special gay health services, gay counseling, gay housing assistance "and more".

Another poster proclaimed that teachers will get special training on how to deal with gays. How about paying to teach the 3 Rs's?

In that case the presence of a Y chromosome denotes male sex the absence female no matter how many X chromosomes there are. Of course these individuals have characteristic physical traits and are often infertile, but it is the presence or absence of the Y chromosome that confers sex.

I had to do that analysis in forensic anthro in college. A broken chunk of bone and we had to sex it. Difficult!
