Vanity: What someone yelled out in theater full of HALLOWEEN 40 patrons (No Spoilers!)

Watched HALLOWEEN 40 this morning with my son. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and was produced by Jamie as well as by John Carpenter and Cody Carpenter. The screenplay/writing was Excellent!

In a scene -- no spoilers! -- a boyfriend of Laurie's granddaughter tells her parents that he's "7% Cherokee". Someone in the audience yelled out: "That's still 7% more than Liz Warren!!"

I live in a predominantly African-American neighborhood here in Southern Maryland, and the audience was packed with mostly African-American patrons - about 90%.

This scene and reply brought a smile to my face.

After the film was over the film projector guy put on a Michael Myers mask and greeted us all in the audience. It was phenomenal!

fatal attraction monday matinee about 20 people. Sat in thew middle, two lovely black women sneak in behind me a movie starts. Quiet.

The scene where (SPOILER) the camera scans fast from the empty rabbit cage to the born rabbit. Just before we see the boil, one of them shouts, Baby!! They done boiled they RABBIT!!!!! I jumped out of my seat. They offered me popcorn and a good laugh

On the way to leave Carrie, we all started scootching forward to put coats on. Then the hand came out of the ground and my sister-in-law screamed. The whole theatre screamed after her.

Yes, and some blacks tend to talk to the characters in the movie, usually to warn them about stuff.

I've started doing it watching TV with my wife, just to get a reaction.

When I was forced into watching Titanic in the theater, about 30 minutes in I blurted “Just Sink, already!”

Brings me back to long ago college days in 1964 or 1965 (that's right, 1964 or 1965) when a Batman WW II propaganda series was being shown. Time after time the "evil Jap" villain would have Batman in his clutches and be gloating over what sadistic way he'd kill him and Batman would manage to get away. The audience finally git tired of it and started chanting, "Shoot him, just shoot him!"

I was watching the lookouts in Titanic crow’s nest and wondered “why didn’t they have binoculars? They could have spotted the iceberg in time to avoid collision.”

True fact: there were binoculars in the crow’s nest locker. But the key was in the pocket of an officer who was transferred shortly before Titanic set sail.

The key recently sold at auction for $100,000.

There's a theory, supported by testing, that because of the weather/water conditions, the iceberg was obscured by a "mirage" until it was too late.
