"Simply put, the legislation gives officers NO ability to safely intercede to preserve property in the midst of a large, violent crowd," reads a letter from Seattle Chief of Police, Carmen Best - who added that thanks to the City Council, "Seattle Police will have an adjusted deployment in response to any demonstrations this weekend."

How long will it take for the commercial real estate market collapse because the insurance companies can no longer depend on their collateral being protected from destruction?
Wait, does this is not leave the police with the option to simply shoot and kill violent demonstrators? Peaceful demonstration is protected under the constitution, but violent is not.
At least the chief was honest. The interesting issue on the ballot for King county is whether or not the voters will give the power to the city council to determine the sheriff’s responsibilities.
So the voters will be given the opportunity to screw themselves again.
Things have changed. A federal judge struck down the Seattle city council ordinance that prohibited the use of tear gas and other crowd control technology.
What about the ones that voted the other way?
F them too?
Burn baby burn!! Damned glad that we are 16 years safely in my home state of Alabama and not in that scummy hell hole any longer. My wife grew up there. After she retired from her job at Bank of America, she said it was time to GO!! Back to Alabama for you, you have been gone 35 years, time to go home!! Man, I love that woman!! She brought the boy home.
This is not the fault of the Police but the result of new legislation.
Cool.
You guys dont get your pay, benefits or pension.
Yes. It's the law regrettably. Now you might ask where is DOJ's equal protection lawsuit against the city of Seattle.
Washington is a 'Shall issue' state, so Seattle is a "Concealed carry community". I had a permit when I lived there a dozen years ago.
Property and liability insurance rates for business and homes will likely skyrocket, too.
Actually no. They have moved far, far away from leftist liberalism. They are SOLIDLY IN THE COMMUNIST line now. Purely Marxist.
Interesting.
And I saw that Inslee is way out in front in the primary.
Well not exactly - the dead kid and a pal booster a Jeep but in the getaway were trapped by concrete barriers when the John Brown Gun Club aka ‘security’, opened semi-auto fire with 300 rounds - then pistol whipped the pal bleeding out on the pavement, while the dead kid was carted off in a private car because there were no police to ensure the safety of the paramedics. The terrorists blamed the paramedics for not helping.
So where would a guy move to if he wanted to to escape Washington state?
Coeur d’Alene Id? Brownsville Tx?
Asking for a friend.....
We live under the law or under the law of the jungle.
King county is a hotbed of leftist liberalism.

along with Kitsap and Jefferson
So I guess in Seattle that means, if you carry you have to keep it concealed all the time....
State sponsored anarchy or law, order and security. Americas choice has never been more clear.
