General George S. Patton's Personal Jeep Driver Remembers the Legendary Man (NOTE: the REAL STORY about the "slapping incident" and not what you think)

Interview with Patton's driver during WW2. TWO important notes in this video:

Jeff Sanza states he was there when Ike radioed him to STOP and not go further to Berlin. The driver states he saw tears go down Patton's face because he didnt want the Soviets there and it clearly upset him. Patton wanted to be in Berlin

2) The REAL story for eh slapping incident: NO, it was NOT a slap across the face. Idiot liberal media back then had in it for Patton. At 12:30 MARK but watch the entire 16 minute video, it's great.

There was a pro-Soviet POS in the congress who undermined Patton and of course the US in general. He should have been slapped, then shot.

If he’d been left in charge of the landings at Salerno, Italy would have been a lot easier as well.

He is a very interesting guy. He has history up here in New England, they have a statue of him near the Hatch Shell in Boston that I like.

Patton and Trump seem alike in some ways.

Acording to my dad, Patton’s greatness was largely a media invention.

"Patton and Trump seem alike in some ways."

There are a few extant recordings of Patton; he sounded nothing like George C. Scott.

I always thought Trump sounded pretty similar to Patton, and they even share some facial expressions.

Yeah, there is definitely something about the face and the temperament.

I always found the story about Patton on the bridge in Sicily shooting the mules to be fascinating, and also the story about him sailing his family to Hawaii from California, and he is out of his mind with a concussion he suffered from playing polo. Didn’t remember even the trip later, IIRC.

Wow.

Patton knew that war was coming so he quit playing polo early in 1941 because he didn’t want to risk getting hurt and not be able to fight.

An uncle of mine was a motorcycle messenger of Patton. He did not think Patton’s greatness was a media creation.

Of course, Patton had rivals in the military at the time. Don’t mistake jealousy in past time with the judgement of history.

If you are a believer in Myers-Briggs Personality Types, they are. They are both ESTP. Madonna is another famous one. And me, but I'm not so famous, lol

I dont know this guy or who Pattons drivers were. I do suspect that if we had done a survey after the war that there would have been about 3700 people (<-butt number) claiming to have been his driver.

He took a real beating playing polo, as I recall. He sounded a bit accident prone.

The Yuma Firing Range Museum is a GREAT place to learn about this man.

You can make all the claims you want, but aside from firing Comey, Trump did a whole lot of fool suffering while in office. Hell, Trump even let Hillary off the hook. If he makes a second go of the presidency, answering for his personnel decisions is going to be up front and center for a lot of primary voters.

Patton had a weak voice. But did it really matter?

Myers-Briggs is a corporate parlor game. It’s just silly.
