Ouch. Prayers out. Thank God it didn't hit an artery, but I'm sure this won't be an easy situation.
I know people are in favor of keeping a gun chambered for reaction time purposes vs. an attacker, but things like this make me wary.

This was a case of a defective design/build, though. The P9 is not drop safe because Springfield removed the firing pin safety from it.

Makes me wary, too.
I know I don’t want to shoot anyone. If I’m ever in that situation, It would be bad.
I use a 1911 as my carry.
I hope the sound of me racking the semiauto would be enough to deter them, or at least not have to pull the trigger to save my or a loved one’s life.
