Updated FR Excerpt and Link Only or Deny Posting List due to Copyright Complaints

So, three astronauts, that walked on the moon, write an article about their frustration with the path the Obama Administration is taking on future U.S. maned space programs, and we can’t link to it anywhere, talk about it, or nothing. What happened to the rights to freely assemble and discuss our grievances? This Country is looking more like Chicago every day!

Apparently, there are sources not listed that the forum software still requires excerpts from.

One that is not listed on the “official list”, but the forum forces excerpting: OneNewsNow.com (part of the American Family Association). While they sometimes have AP-sourced articles, FR seems to want to require ALL to be excerpted.

Earlier today I posted an excerpt of an article I thought was excellent, but had the thread pulled because “Author is not welcome on FR”. How do I find out what authors are not welcome at FR?

Received a takedown request from the copyright/trademark holder. Please do not post the Maxine character to FR. Even as parodies. They respect our rights to free speech, but do not appreciate Maxine voicing our opinions.

If you spot a post of Maxine (examples: google/search/images/maxine ), please alert the moderators via abuse report so we can remove it.

Please note that short articles from any of the sources on the list (that are not prohibited altogether) must be excerpted to 50% of content.

This has always been the rule for excerpts.

Excerpts for long articles is 300 words or less.

I did find the article on the author's own blog site, and did excerpt and posted from there. I hope have not done something wrong. I thought the content was of high value to FR readers, although the article was witten over 10 years ago. The link is:
