Political Limericks: Make Your Own!
Patriot Paradox

Posted on 07/18/2004 11:10:28 PM PDT by sonsofliberty2000

Yeah, well if they suck that bad make your own!

There once was a man named Kerry
Whose voting record was very scary
He flips and he flops,
while his poll numbers drop
and his positions seem contrary

There once was a Democrat named John
who of waffles he was very fond
over and over he served them up
while for some odd reason his followers ate them up
until they evetually caught on

Part 1: The Fairy

There once was a fairy named Leon
who asked a paticular John
what is your wish
I'll serve up a dish
and John just said bring it on

Part 2: Little John

After the fairy brought it on
here came little John
He was from the south
with a smile on his mouth
but very little else to brag on

Part 3: The Defeat

John and Little John went out
but the votes seemed in drought
They flipped and flopped
but they surely were stopped
by Bush and his whopping he dealt out

Entery number two- A San Francisco Tragedy- Part I

Base am I but a wrinkled prune,
Raked amongst the ground not sewn,
I have little hope of a thirst soon quenched,
Or add hope to the fountain of dreams now benched,

The forces of will of the many young masses,
Has kicked me and my cronies in our ample Asses,
My hideous partner and my love in my life,
Counter each other as VP and wife,

He is but a dream a lovely young sprat,
And she is a goblin, offish, and fat,
Oh how would I love it if it were but true,
That Johnny, oh Johnny, was my sunrise view,

Alas with this bitter pill I must take,
My love of this creature will have to be faked,
And withhold all the tender emotions at bay,
For the Breck Girl of Raleigh, the boy of the day

Very interesting.
Meshes with what a school friend of my daughter's has said. She is Chinese but has been predominately living in the States for last few years. She had told us that Chinese people were "mean", I am not sure if she was only describing "city" people. Her father also took her on a "tour" of the countryside so she would have some appreciation for her good fortune (her father and mother are an engineer and pearl importer respectively). The poverty in the countryside is extreme. She described a "hotel" with gaping holes in the walls and many people to a room. No beds or indoor plumbing either I don't think. It was quite a different picture than most Americans have of China I think. You know; hard-working but content farmers, busy little city people on bicycles, etc.

Her love for filmmaker Moore
made Ronstadt blind to his allure,
she praised him before patriots,
who yelled back at her, "hatriot"!
And now she's one gig the poorer.

There once was a man name John K.

Who threw his war medals away

He came home and lied

With Hanoi Jane by his side

He's a disgrace to this very day.

There once was a man name John K.

Whose make-up was botox and clay

While out on the stump

His face fell to his rump

A vacation was ordered that day!

An ambulance chaser named Edwards
Whose politics leaned to the Tedwards
Came up on a wreck
thinking here was a check
But the face of the driver was deadwards.
