You know, we sit here discussing this and quoting from the Constitution .... I'd be surprised if that woman has even read the whole thing.

I'd say that probably goes for most of 'em up in DC -- sworn to protect and defend something that they have very little understanding of, and even less appreciation for.

Agg assault is an unlawful attack against another person with the intent of causing severe or aggrivated bodily injury. Some states include the use of a weapon or an object other than fists as agg assault.

Assault or simple assault is the threat or attempt to strike another person regardless if the strike is carried out or not.

From what I've heard she would most likely be charged with simple assault depending on the Laws in DC...However, as a Capitol Police Officer this may fall under federal statute which may be completely different.

Damn, guess I need to look up Fed law on this....

I just don't know myself but I thought it was odd yesterday when they said they were going to arrest her when the session was over.

No, the airplane bit was Sheila Jackson Lee if I remember correctly, however Fox had a statement from a former house aide who says McKinney assaulted him back in 1998.

Baghdad Bob with a sex change?

That might explain the massive reconstructive surgery.

I'm sure these capital police are paid by the tax payers. As such, they work for the taxpayers. I don't want people that I pay to be professionals to be subjected to this type of abuse from anyone. I think McKinney should be arrested and prosecuted. Have a registered democrat officer make the arrest.

I think Alabama congressmen are immune to traffic tickets while in session.

Well...sort of.

The intent of the law was to keep political opponents from using influence with a local sheriff or policeman, in order to keep an opposing member of the state house from getting to the state house in order to vote on an issue. They can't be locked up, but charges can still be pursued, once the legislature is out of session, unless it is a violent crime of some sort.

They can and are issued speeding and parking tickets.

Just ask one Lowell Barron, a legend in his own mind, who once received a speeding ticket from a municipal cop on an Interstate while enroute to a legislative session.

It pissed him off to the point that he introduced a bill making it illegal for municpal cops to enforce speed limits on the Interstate.

The dumb ass (yep, he's a dimwitcrat) didn't word it quite right and even though it passed, it allowed the Sheriff of a county to deputize municipal cops, thus allowing them to once again have jurisdiction on the Interstate.

I think the case you have in mind is one of the erstwhile members of the legislature (one Alvin Holmes...yep, he's a dimwitcrat, and regretably, takes lessons on being a racist bigot from Jihad Cindy, I think), that got caught DUI while the house was in session and tried to get out of the charge under the "no arrest while legislature in session" thing.

Didn't work.

Most states have something similiar, though.

Ha! Very good observation. My bet would be that she has no idea what the Constitution actually is.

"I swear to uphold and defend...whatever. Now, move over so I can get some of tat govment tit."

And we all know folks use a familiar modus operandi. Sounds like Ms. McKinney is so full of herself she is more important than the law she has taken an oath to protect and defend?

The only thing she has vowed to defend is the impeachment of GWB and Cheney.

Yes. They are all above the law for the most part.

Article I, Section 6 of the Constitution says she cannot be arrested while Congress is in session.

These two women, Sheilah Jackson Lee and Cynthia McKinney have visions of grandeur and it's time they were brought down to earth. It's been reported that Jackson Lee violated House rules by having someone drive her to her office when she could walk there. This is McKinney's second run in caused by her refusal to wear her identification badge. I don't think members of Congress should have special privileges. They are supposed to be the 'servants of the people' and not royalty. IMO, we need to stop them from voting themselves raises....the employer (the people) should be doing this and not the employee (Congress).

CM is a self-important black who feels she doesn't need to waste time with rules and regs that are "really" put in place just aggrevate blacks. Anyone who sees this person in on TV, even with the mute button employed, understands that she is mildly retarded at the very least. Although she should be punished, and fully deserves it, the capitol police should lay down some ironclad laws, explain them to the Nth power, and afterwards enforce them to the uttermost. If Queen McKinney tries to skip past authorities yet again, a crowd of billyclubs ought to be employed on her thick head.

Cynthia, honey, not everyone in the world is supposed to know who your self-important a** is--you are subject to the same rules as everybody else. Get a clue, and try to have some class. You ain't nobody, Queenie--you just think that you are...

Yeah, but Article I, Section 6 doesn't say anything about tasering her arrogant fat ass until she has a wyld wooly perm rivaling anything to ever come out of Mr. Ray's Hair Weave.

I saw daddy mckinney say "it was no big deal". I wonder if he would say the same if the guard had punched his little girl--nah--I guess THAT would have been a hate crime.

Billie Mckinney pulled a knife on another Representative on the floor of the State House. He's probably not a good judge of decorum.

McKinney and Lee think of themselves as Queens, Nubian Queens to be exact. I'd vote to give her a raise if she'd leave the US, permantely.
