Sure, but the hour is growing late....

Nonsense. It’s WAY too early. Do you know when Ronald Reagan announced his bid for the 1980 campaign?
November 13, 1979. But of course he - like Sarah is - had been planning.
I think Sarah took a lesson from Hillary who was the presumed candidate in ‘08. But she shot her wad too soon and lost to a Kenyan Marxist.
Sarah - if she is going to run - will wait. And strike when the time is right.

"Smart money says Rove will trot out Jeb Bush as the RINO savior..." horse crap.
Carl Rove isn't secretly running the party.
Jeb Bush isn't running.

She will need money - lots of money. If she waits too long, how much money will be left for her? She needs to announce sooner rather than later.

A vote for anyone but the Republican nominee is a vote for Obama.
Sorry, learned my lesson from the Arnold fiasco.
Either the GOP gets their house in order and provides a suitable CONSERVATIVE candidate, or they have no guarantee of my vote.
If there is a credible third-party candidate out there and the GOP props up a RINO like Myth, Newt, Mitch Daniels, Chris Christy, et all, I will vote my conscience and my principles and choose the conservative.
They can no longer rely on my vote with a lessor of two-evils candidate.
They need to learn that conservatives are in charge, either they do what we want and represent our values or they can go pound sand!
I'm not listening to dire predictions or fear tactics anymore!

You’re pretty smart yourself!
I think you hit it pretty much on the head......

She will not run - she knows that she cannot win, in my view. She’s just way too far right to attract some democrats and independents to put her over the top - sad, but true.
Although, I’m thinking that anyone should be able to beat Obama in a perfect world.

But shell fool us by declaring on Labor Day. Yes, I have been saying after Summer... One more Alaskan Summer with Willow, Piper, and Trig, before the Secret Service has to take them to school and their lives are forever changed. One last chance at normality for her beloved family....

I can’t wait to vote for Sarah Palin...
...she pisses off all the right people.

Sorry, but Sarah whispered in my ear she is declaring at the end of the summer. Although my ear was so discombobulated from her whispering she may have said something entirely different...but that’s another story. :-)

Which is why Republicans trot out Rino after Rino.
The lesser of two evils is still evil.
To: ilovesarah2012
She will need money, but in the last two years she has been privy to tons of publicity - both good and bad.
There is hardly anything that we don't know about her and her idology; she is devoutly conservative, has leadership experience and credentials, not afraid of the libs, and even has a record of straightening out her own party.
She has greater name recognition that most of the others in the field, and her PAC has been raising some money.
IF she should get the nomination, the money will come. If the GOP doesn't support her, then obama is back for four more, and nobody but obama wants that.
Don't count her out, she has a lot going for her, and I think the nomination is hers for the asking...if she'll just ask.

Sarah has received so much bad press that she has been damaged in the eyes of many voters, other than we conservatives. Her facebook network has provided the public a good look at her persona and positions, those have bothered to follow it.
Personally, I would like to see her hold off. The job now is to get a Republican into the WH, even if we don't get everything we want.
At that point we need to pressure the R president to appoint Sarah to an important cabinet position. Then in 16 or 20 turn the big house over to her. I won't be around to see it but will celebrate none the less!!!

She doesn’t NEED to do that. Her name rec is off the charts. Why would she NOT get in a race where she would be a rockstar? Really, if she wants it, now is the time. This is THE battle. These are the times that try men’s souls.
Look at it this way. I thought the epic battle that never was was Clinton v. Gingrich in 1996. He was the face of the opposition, he rooted out Jim Wright and several others, he was audacious, he was ruthless, and it would have been the battle of the decade. Palin v. Obama would be a similar clash of the titans at this time—if she goes.

Then we had better convince Christie he needs to go for the good of the country. He would hand Obama his nuts in a debate. Particularly if they don’t allow him to use a teleprompter. None of the front-runners has a chance of being elected, and I include Sarah ( as much as I personally like and respect her) in that group.
She has the unfortunate stain of having run with McLame.

How do you you define “credibility?”
I don't understand how holding off has anything to do with “credibility.”

She won’t run unless she thinks she can win the general election.
She most likely would not want the 2nd Obama term pinned on herself only.

This is not 1980. The political landscape has changed dramatically since then. Both the manner and speed of information and news dissemination have also changed dramatically. The later a candidate waits, the more they are at a disadvantage.
