For those who don't want either Romney or Perry, even if you'd never vote for either.
Dang! You beat me to it!.....LOL
Reagan would probably be considered a RINO/Neocon were he alive and running today.
Dang! You beat me to it!.....LOL
I can’t vote for Romney. He’s a draft dodger, a gun grabber, and he wrote the original healthcare bill upon which Obamacare is modeled. No way. ever. I can vote for Perry but he is going to have to earn that vote by promising to secure the border and to veto anything that even kind of sort of looks like an amnesty bill. My issues are illegal immigration, second amendment rights, and fiscal conservatism/small government. If he shores up all of those issues with solid unequivocal promises, I’ll not only vote for him, I’ll send him money. If not, we’ll see. I like divided government personally. I will consider the house and senate to be a fine victory.
“NONE OF THE ABOVE”
Same here.
Bilderberg is the spelling.
He’ll live forever in our hearts and minds. Doubt if we’ll ever see another just like him......I’m not givin’ up hope.
Tyranny or opression, if you had to pick...
The only viable option in your scenario is to allow Obama to win.
The Oponent is an ideology, not a personality. If socialists can get one of their own elected as a Republican, they own both parties.
I have been busy explaining this to people in local churches and recovery groups in my area. McCain has set the perfect teaching example.
Rest assured, neither you personally nor anyone else can concoct a situation in which I nor many others will vote for a leftist merely to defeat another of the same stripe.
Perry strikes me like the deacon or banker who has always been perfectly courteous to me but who I could never bring myself to like or trust, even when I tried.
Romney strikes me as a political analog to Ted Bundy. There is no way I am getting into a car with him. No way. So far in my life I have never been wrong in such an extreme negative reaction to someone. They always turned out toxic. This man literally makes my flesh crawl. This is obviously a useless measure for anyone else, but you made the question personal.
Reluctantly - as it stands today - Perry would get my vote.
“Last time, I wanted Mitt over McCain. This time, if I cannot have one of Cain/Bachmann/Palin.... (swallows hard) Ill take Perry. Im in California, so my vote is worth slightly less than this thread.”
Dittoes.
I don’t like either one of them but I will vote for the party’s choice because a write in for Palin or anyone else is a vote for Oshithead and EVERYONE KNOWS THAT so why say it you idiots! When will people learn? A write in is an act of stupidity and has only worked in Alaska and my High School when voting for Prom Queen. And I though democrats were dumb but some of you people are just as bad.
Ambassador John Robert Bolton.
Don’t give me this that he has no political experience...experience of being a crook.
That’s a plus that he is clean.
He has no patience for foreign crooked policies. (What other kind are there?) He also wants to knock off about 8 floors off the U.N. building...(hopefully with people in them at the time). That works for me.
After I cooled off I realized that maybe this poll was for the PRIMARY. In that case I retract my previous rant with apologies.
Palin,, or fishing that day. I have no interest _whatsoever_ in returning establishment repubs to power so we can be a politically correct socialist state by 2020 instead of by 2014.
Save your lectures. I don’t see any difference between the big eared Kenyan and the repubs except for the speed with which they will take us to socialism.
Perry
We have 16 months, and part of choosing a viable candidate is watching how they perform over the protracted period of a U.S. presidential campaign. I know the temptation here is to grab hold of a candidate and be an unrelenting partisan, but especially given the softer conservative flavor of the top tier candidates, I’m taking a wait and see approach. In the end I will support any Republican over ObamAA+, and there’s plenty of time to see who is the most formidable. Romney has always been the next in line, but Perry is the only one who can realistically supercede him - let the strongest man win.
For the purposes of this thread, Perry.
In real life, write in Palin.
