Florida Teacher of the Year on Gun Violence: Parents Need to ‘Step Up’ and Control Their Kids’...

A Florida middle school teacher who was named Teacher of the Year at her school said that parents need to “step up” and control their kids’ behavior. Kelly Guthrie Raley, who was selected as Eustis Middle School’s Teacher of the Year 2017-2018 last month, wrote on Facebook Thursday in a now-viral post that as an educator, the lack of compassion and increase in violence she has noticed among students are caused by a “lack of parental support”:

“Parents, it’s time to step up!” Raley wrote, adding:

Be the parent that actually gives a crap! Be the annoying mom that pries and knows what your kid is doing. STOP being their friend. They have enough “friends” at school. Be their parent. Being the “cool mom” means not a damn thing when either your kid is dead or your kid kills other people because they were allowed to have their space and privacy in YOUR HOME.

Raley’s message went viral; as of Saturday afternoon, her post had been shared more than 573,000 times—after a 19-year-old gunman killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on Wednesday.

A public school teacher who stands up and speaks the truth. This woman is very brave because the left it’s going to shred her, including her very own Teachers Union. Talking Heads on MSNBC will be mocking her. This Brave woman needs all the support she can get, simply because...............
She spoke the truth.

Nah, that’s too much work. The way we do it in America is monkey with the law and the Constitution so that the law-abiding citizen suffers.

We strip the vast majority of citizens of their rights, take their money and their property, and burden them with mountains of regulations. All hail Big Brother.

America = Idiocracy.

Arm teachers.
Privatize the school system.
Stop taking God and morality out of culture.
Do away with political correctness and culture control.

Good thinking but don’t forget that this killer had no parents when he went on his rampage.

He was a mess before they were gone. The mom died last year, and he’s been in trouble for some time before that. He’s a bad nut. Has been for awhile. The bigger problem here is that all the people close to him who reported him, and the authorities failed. That’s where there must be immediate action.

COACH FEIS

The football assistant coach Aaron Feis who was also a security person at the school and died blocking the kids with his body SHOULD HAVE BEEN ARMED.

According to Feis’ Facebook page, he lived in Coral Springs and was a fan of Ronda Rousey and Tim Tebow, the TV show “Duck Dynasty” and the movie “Faith of Our Fathers.” Among his posts were a quote from Billy Graham, “A coach will impact more young people in a year than the average person does in a lifetime,” and tributes to the U.S. military and an advertisement for a “Concealed Carry Jacket” with a handgun poking out of a pocket.

So Coach Feis Could have saved most of the kids…Coach Feis SHOULD HAVE saved all those people.

But Coach Feis WAS NOT ALLOWED TO CARRY HIS LICENSED PISTOL.

Propose a Plan A (this, plan B, will be a symptom of):

- Terminate property taxes
- Dismantle the DoEd/teachers unions
- Parent(s)\guardian(s) pay for the education of their brood (or ‘student loans’ start @ Kindergarten)

Once the real education kicks in, and ‘their little angel’ gets expelled on the 2nd infraction, w/o refund...I suspect after writing the FIRST check, mom/dad are going to be watching like a hawk (kids, teachers, ‘school’, and outcome)

Parents step up and look into what your school administration and board are doing. PC and liberal progressive agendas are killing our kids

BINGO- Kudos to Kelly Ralley

And for allowing juvenile delinquents to RULE the schools, Sue Broward County Schook Board....

Here’s why Nikolas Cruz was never busted at school is due to the new 2013 NAACP collaborative discipline policy:

http://www.ncjfcj.org/sites/default/files/Broward%20Co%20Collaborative%20Agreement%20on%20School%20Discipline%20-%20MOU.pdf

That’s a link to the Broward County’s School Discipline ‘Agreement” and it’s signed by the Sheriff, State Atty and local judges.

These various behaviors will NOT result in suspension or expulsion or notification to the police. Instead they receive warnings, lectures and possible stern scolding!

These infractions include:
All student misbehavior and
these non-violent infractions:

Disrupting or Interfering with class
Affray - fighting in a public place
Theft if less than $300
Vandalism damages < $1,000
Disorderly conduct
Trespassing
Criminal Mischief
Gambling
Loitering
Prowling
Harrassment
Alcohol -all related offenses
Possession of Cannabis
Drug Paraphernalia
Threats
Obstructing Justice w/out Violence

“Go ahead kids. Smoke pot, booze it up, fight, THREATEN a teacher and tear the bloody place up! The NAACP & Broward schools & sheriff got your back. Since your family has failed, a sanctuary program for criminal youth continues at your school.

everybody loves blaming the parents, especially teachers. When they would call me, I would tell them my kid had everything he needed, desk, room, stay at home mom, pencils, light bulbs, church, Boy Scouts, clean house, clean clothes, in tact family and if they couldn’t work with that, it must be their fault. It was their fault, they were for the most part liberal, disorganized, not in touch with reality and wanted the kids to teach themselves while they gossiped in the faculty break room and fought about what was missing in the refrigerator and left school before 3 pm for appointments.

Schools are nothing more than publicly funded daycare centers.

My wife works at the local High School. It is a large suburban High School. Between 3,000 and 4,000 students. There is not even a line item in the schools budget for security. No cameras, no guards at doors, no metal detectors, etc. Anyone can walk up and right in the front door and roam around. And of course, it is a posted gun free zone. They are so anti-gun, my son almost got expelled one time because he had an empty casing he carried in his pocket from his grandfathers 21 gun salute.

Is it any wonder maniacs target schools? The kids are sitting ducks.

Seems silly, but, school uniforms or a dress code would be a step in the right direction

I still remember my HS advisor stopping me in the hall, because my shirt was not tucked in.
