I never put much stock in generic polls. It is cumbersome but I go District by District. Last I looked there were several the Dems looked to flip that have moved into the safe R column.

I’m not buying it. No one wants so see Speaker Pelosi.

But often people have myopia in House races, not being able to see past a local issue. If the roads are crummy and the Democrat is promising to get more funding, sometimes that is enough.

Trump’s path to an electoral college victory isn’t narrow. It’s nonexistent.

You under estimate the power of higher taxes, open borders, a 1% growth in GDP, record unemployment, and the impeachment of both Kavanauth and President Trump to sway the American Voter. Oh and Soros controls the voting machines.

It’s a Blue Wave!

Ignore this and follow LS. 95% of the political punditry is strongly infected with inside the beltwayitis and is incapable of critical thinking.

Pickups in both chambers is what I expect as well. Most people are ignoring the number of union members, minorities and blue collar worker currently employed thanks to Trump’s “magic wand”.

Apparently good economic policies are all we need, or as Democrats call it, a magic wand.... ;)

BTW
They had 8 years and could not find a magic wand, much less a good economics policy amongst them.

> There is no way that the Democrats can win the House.

I wouldn't bet on it. Democrats have build a campaign strategy on some very solid principles which have provided a lot of success throughout history to those who understand

there's a sucker born every minute

nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people

Why predicting Senate seat pickups accurate but not House seats GOP is in danger of losing?

When was the Senate considered to be in play?

The Rats defending 26 Seats versus the GOP defending 8 Seats gives the Rats an edge?

I guess not having a Political Science Degree is working against me.

They said Hillary would win by a landslide and two years later, according to fhem, the Rats have the House in the bag.

Maybe.

This Dude is predicting that the Dimms are going to win 42 seats?

I think all that they need to win are 21 seats ...
If the Dimms win 21 seats, that puts them at 218. For each seat that the Dimms pick up, the GOP loses one. So the GOP loses 21 seats, that puts them at 217.

Somebody please correct me if my math or "figgering" is off ...

They only need to flip 21 Seats, not 42.

Almost every election cycle that I can remember Republicans have either lost seats in both Senate and House or gained seats in Senate and House. The few elections that the Republicans lost House seats and gained Senate seats the House losses were less then 20 seats each time, usually much less then 20.

If we gain 5-6 Senate seats then I believe it unlikely we would lose very many house seats, certainly not more then 20.

21, not 42. Each Rat win also counts as a GOP loss. The magic number of seats for majority is 218.

42 is the difference. If Dems pick up 22 then 197 + 22 = 219 while Repubs 238 - 22 = 216

If we keep the House, the Rats reaction will make the Kavanaugh meltdown look like a Toddlers Temper Tantrum.

They are so invested in thinking the House belongs to them it may be comparable to Hillary’s loss if their Wet Dream of a Speaker Pelosi doesn’t materialize.

The Dems only have to flip 21 seats to get a majority. I
