The Internet has enabled the flourishing of countless subcultures, from the harmless to the less so. Lately, one of the latter groups has begun to break into the mainstream: the “incels.”
“Incel” is short for “involuntary celibate,” and as their self-imposed name implies, these mostly young men have come to define themselves by their inability to find a sexual or romantic partner. Men who identify as being #ForeverAlone have gathered online in forums such as Reddit to trade stories of woe.
These communities tend to be self-reinforcing. Members believe that their looks or personal traits have consigned them to lifelong loneliness, and similarly downbeat peers are always willing to add more fuel to that fire. And the incel community has developed elaborate, and elaborately misogynistic, theories to blame others for their plight, centered on the idea that women are shallow, stupid and cruel — exclusively choosing only a handful of the most attractive men to be with and disdaining the rest. All men should deserve a chance with women, incels tell themselves, but some men have all the luck, while they get left out.
Today, the incel subculture has become not just self-reinforcing but self-radicalizing, often with tragic outcomes. At its most horrifying extremes, self-described incels have taken their anger out on the women they believe are refusing them. At least two mass shooters have left behind manifestos identifying themselves as adhering to incel ideology and explaining their actions as taking revenge on the world that hasn’t given them the women they think they deserve.

I call my wife “The Norwegian Plow Horse” LOL. Actually she’s quite svelt....5:10 126# (same weight as day we married) after 2 kids and married 32 years.
But she’s one helluva hard worker and surprising strong for being so lean.

I hear ya brother.
And the ‘you’ll find her’ attitude from the relatives and friends I have who ARE married doesn’t help matters.
It’s not as encouraging as they think it is.
But, there’s not much to do except for work to improve myself and live a good life outside of marriage while keeping an eye out.
... is one of the finest things I ever learned when it comes to women ... an older guy taught me that in my 20's. It never failed to be true, and the one time I violated it I got dumped very very very quickly. She was bored, uninterested. I don't blame her, I would have dumped me to. Was painful but cemented the lesson.
One thing I learned from someone older many years ago: women really want male attention. If you give them that you are ahead of the game. You can’t take them for granted or let that slide.
Zig Ziglar said some men target a married woman and give her attention and exploit anything wrong about the husband in order to get her to have an affair. Creepy. He said never assume other men don’t envy you for your wife.
Norman Vincent Peale said in a book: keep giving all the little kindnesses and special considerations all your life-—don’t assume the age 20s courtship is over and you can drop it all. Never take her for granted. He was married for decades.
I am thankful to God I found true mutual love and have been blessed with my precious wife since 1973.
I know many vocels, mostly divorced men that tried again and ended up red pilled. Apparently, many young single men are there, too, from watching what older men have gone/are going through. They view today’s American women as risk.

“The Dance of Intimacy” Written for women, but really helps to understand women.
My advice, focus on escalating closeness.
Avoid self-centered women.
Find a woman that prizes affection over attention.
Men, you have to be available for that affection, many are not.
And cheer up! Don’t get bummed until you’ve been treated worse by better women.
