The Left got to define what is “Controversial”, and companies don’t want to be “controversial.”

...to say that the culture war is lost is a complete lie from the pit of Hell. I’m really tired of people who just give up.

While culture resides within the individual and their associations, the progs have succeeded in demonizing those associations.

If individuals cannot congregate to show solidarity without being punished in some manner and must consider the risks of voicing their values in public, then who has won which battle?

People are shutting down voluntarily, which allows a small, overly-loud group to take social control.

Once those individuals lose the choices that support their POV, the next step by the progs will be to demonize the Constitution, which is our charter of inalienable rights and a constraint on government. They are already doing exactly that.

How long before they somehow eradicate the Electoral College and then, the private one-person/one vote system that protects the Republic as founded?

Seems to me that is their end game and they are sailing right along towards that goal.

I wonder if we will be allowed to take that towel along with us to the reeducation camps?

The problem is always people with the means to do so, always escape to somewhere else without fighting back, see “White Flight”.

Good people simply don’t want to get their hands dirty with politics. Can’t even be bothered to vote in elections for the local School Boards, which actually exert much more control over peoples’ lives than what goes on in DC.

So over time, more and more ground is ceded, until eventually there’s nowhere else to flee to.

This country is going to have to stare into the Abyss before things change.

Yes. Flight or fight. But first, people must acknowledge that they not only have an enemy, but that the enemy has them surrounded.

As to School Boards, what has happened in my area is that only progs run. Anyone opposed to them is economically and socially punished.

I’m far from giving up, but realistically, I’m an old woman best suited to rolling bandages and feeding the partisans. I practice extreme op sec within a very limited circle of associates. I meet very few people under 50 who even see the threat and most of them just go along to get along until they are co-opted beyond any resistance.

Sex, drugs and rock & roll was the Big Lie and now we need to deal with the consequences. On one hand, I’m afraid I will actually live to see the final battle and, on the other, I fear there will not be one.

The one thing giving me hope is the ubiquity of mass protests around the world against globalism. Of necessity, these are concentrated around specific actions in various venues, but it is impossible to eventually ignore the common enemy that has made it clear they will burn the world rather than accept defeat.

There is no compromise with people who have clearly stated the extent of their intended oppression of everyone else.

Unfortunately I think you’re right.

Another four years is a reprieve but some day it will all come crashing down.

But on an individual basis I have not thrown in the towel and neither has anybody else on this board thrown in the towel to the culture War. We are Fighters and that is who we are. So to say that the culture war is lost is a complete lie from the pit of Hell.

Yes, you in the octogenarians, who still post FR are going to turn the culture war around.

Painful but true. I’ll be 46 too, and I’m in no shape to fight any war. These 60+s’ armchair warriors have even less of a chance.

but once Trump is gone, the Red tide will inevitably return with a vengeance.

Despite all the evidence in the world that Trump’s style is a winner with the American people, I don’t believe there will be another Republican politician that has the guts to “do“ Trump. They will all go right back to listening to their handlers and strategists, and adopt the same “dignified” and “presidential” style that they all had before Trump and that will cause them to be thoroughly ridiculed out of existence by the left.

Maybe we should stop looking to chicken sandwich sellers as saviors of culture.

The Left’s cry of witchhunts and Red Scares are empty now. They are targeting political opponents and seek blacklisting and purging of anyone who donated or voted for popularly supported legislation that the Left personally opposed.

Yeah, I literally have no idea why FR isn’t winning the culture war. Surely the ranch radio song of the day is bringing in the young people in droves.

I try my best to win anyone with my SpaceX/Boeing launch posts. That’s about all I ever do anymore. There’s at least some enthusiasm there. I know you like drugs, but I hate them. There’s gotta be some kind of middle ground where we can attract more to this site.

The ship for FR has sailed. The heyday for this site was the late 90s, early 2000’s. It’s not coming back in any meaningful way. If Jim even cared there would be an app, a “like“ button for comments, a means to upload images, emojis, anything new. There is literally nothing 21st-century about the site that makes it attractive. That, combined with the puritanical moderators, no profanity rule, and a very specifically religiously minded base of users, leave this site very much in an “it is what it is” niche. But being relevant culturally, or winning any type of culture war is definitely not what is going to happen here.

Regarding your verse about the end times, I can only say, when was it not ever thus? First man and woman God created were not satisfied with a perfect paradise and their defiance of their creator set the future of mankind. Adam and Eve had one son murder another, Cain and Abel. We come from a flawed gene pool. Mankind has always had good and evil at combat. Since Eden, man has followed God or Mammon. Pres Trump has provided leadership at this point in time when enough people are ready to listen and heed. All time is limited and his next four years either turns the tide away from the globalist evil dangling over humankind or not. We do the best we can to affect the outcome of this battle and pray that enough progress is made with Pres Trump that a forgiving God will give us all a renewed hope for the future of this Republic.

Yes, there has always been sin since the Fall of Mankind. Throughout human history, there has been sin.

However, the Bible makes clear that human history (in its present form) is finite. God has a definite timetable. We don't know His exact plans, only He. But, God tells us to watch:

"Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour." Matthew 25:13

God's Word gives us distinct information and clues about the approach and the time of the End. Scripture makes it clear that we can know the season of His return:

"You yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night… But you brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night or darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober." 1 Thessalonians 5: 2-6

One of the signposts is that of the degradation of society into mass immorality. What I posted in 2 Timothy 3 speaks to this clearly. What is going on today? What has happened in the just the last few years?

People are fired and arrested for "not using the right pronoun." Men dressed as slutty women are allowed to read perverted stories to little children in school's and libraries, but it is parents and Christians who object who are arrested. Greed, sexual immorality, materialism, humanism, nihilism, and a hatred of God are all around us as never before.

Israel is back in their land after a 2,000 exile. In just a generation, Israel has become one of the most powerful nations on earth. These are things that the Bible tells us quite clearly will happen before the End.

Technology that exists today, that never existed before in all of human history, will allow a global currency to be controlled by the Antichrist (as described in Revelation 13).

Lawlessness and violence are increasing, just as Jesus described in Matthew 24.

And that is just scratching the surface.

I believe President Trump was appointed by God for such a time. Trump's support of Israel has been heaven sent. But Trump is not God. God can and will use the President, but it is but a chapter and a page in the greater novel of history.

I believe the next cataclysmic event in human history is the Rapture of the true believers in Jesus Christ, as outlined in Scripture (Revelation 3:10, 1 Corinthians 15: 51-53, 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18, Luke 17: 34-37).
