Dennis Prager has COVID-19, says he deliberately sought infection to gain natural immunity

Conservative radio host Dennis Prager announced Monday that he is recovering from the novel coronavirus, saying that he deliberately sought to contract the virus to acquire natural immunity, instead of getting vaccinated.

“I’m broadcasting from my home because I’m not going into the station as I have COVID,” said Mr. Prager on his YouTube show. “I tested positive last week, and I have been steadily improving. At no point was I in danger of hospitalization.”

I'm not sure I would go that far, myself.

I have thought about it.

With preparation and the numerous treatments available, much better protection from natural immunity.

I don’t understand his logic. He intentionally got Covid to protect himself from getting Covid? Maybe he means that he’s developing immunity to exempt himself from some vaccine requirements, for travel to certain countries, for example.

The rulers of Covidstan will still demand that he get the vaccine.

“I have thought about it.”

We kind of did that. Didn’t hide from the boogeyman, wear masks, social distance, etc. We assumed it was only a matter of time before we got Covid, and we did. It took 16-17 months, but we got it, and got over it. Now natural immunity.

I don’t understand why one would deliberately seek infection. Why? Do you get a special medal or badge for getting it? Bragging rights? Street cred? Extra Facebook points?...

If you are not vaccinated, just go about life. If you get it, you get it. If not, you’re still good.

But, but, I have natural immunity now!
Oh yeah, right. Prove it!

I would if I were 20 years younger without asthma.

Since the CoVid test kits are fake. Unless he has terrible symptoms and requires hospitalization it won’t matter.

I am frankly surprised that more aren’t thinking of this for themselves.

Far better than injecting children with this mRNA experiment for a limited immunity, might be the natural immunity of recovery. Planned properly, the recovering could limit spread to the at-risk. A lifetime of “boosters”, the current “plan”, could be replaced by a barely-noticed illness in childhood.

It appears the disease is not going away, or is still being pumped out of that lab. Immunity appears real and may be long-term, given 2002 SARS-COV patients’ immunity to the more recent China strain. The Mengele injections, or those behind this, could still drive this disease to something worse, like Marek’s in humans. Even partial immunity, obtained now, may be of benefit should that day come.

Maybe he figures it’s better to get it now than later in life when his body may not be able to survive it.

In my opinion (relatively well-formed, YMMV) monoclonal antibodies are highly effective early-to-mid COVID treatments and have saved many lives.

However.

By clearing the virus rapidly and effectively before it triggers the death cascade, they WILL prevent a complete immune response. That’s their very purpose, to shut off the immune response BEFORE it starts irreversible damage.

THEREFORE if you voluntarily expose yourself to COVID in the hopes of acquiring natural immunity (in case you think of asking, this is a very bad idea), but if you do it, be warned that getting monoclonal antibody treatment when you get sick will prevent natural immunity from occurring.

Head scratcher there. I was afflicted with Rocky Mt. spotted fever about 35 years ago, supposedly one of things that you only get once and then have immunity. I do not recommend seeking out ticks just gain immunity.

Natural immunity is a good thing, and the more it is studied, the better it looks. Anyone who got COVID and recovered is lucky.

BUT.

The potential for serious permanent injury or death from COVID is significant, and (IMO) you shouldn’t go looking for it.

As someone said, if you get it, you get it (and the way things are going, you probably will). There is excellent evidence that inoculum (dose) of the virus predicts severity, so the more certain your “encounter” is to cause COVID, in general, the worse you are going to do.

Hope that helps.

There is some logic. You only get older and more at risk as time goes by. If you are young, healthy and have no comorbidities, you may not even notice illness. If monoclonal antibodies are available, or you have other therapeutics available, your risk may never be lower.

The so-called “vaccines” don’t protect you, so if you really want to go about your business in the near future without worrying about unplanned illness and contagion to those you care about from this, it might be the only way.

I have asthma and I also get bronchitis every time I catch a cold.

I have gone about my life with no changes. A few weeks ago the Wuhan Red Death caught me.

Treated with I-Mask protocol. (Ivermectin and supplements)

I did go to the urgent care to get a script for Prednisone to get ahead of the Bronchitis.

I also had the monoclonal antibody treatment

Few days later-Good as new and positively overflowing with antibodies and natural immunity.

When I was a kid in the 50s, chicken pox parties were common. Parents figured getting chicken pox was inevitable so they might as well get it over with as soon as possible once it showed up in the neighborhood. Not sure that conventional wisdom was entirely wrong.

Thank you for that post.

Can you say, is the same true for any other treatment, like HCQ or Ivermectin, if you imagine such treatments might stop the illness?

Does “outside help” prevent the full development of natural immunity?

I’m the same. Bronchitis almost every Spring when allergies start. My doctor treats it with prednisone, z-pak, cough meds, and a lot of the out-patient remedies for bronchitis.

I have a stash of ivermectin plus I take the recommended supplements. I also bought some of the silver cough drops recommended in here to make tea out of and I use Xlear.

I can get the monoclonal antibodies here due to my age and lung issues if I get it. I’m not ready to intentionally get it yet though. :-)
