Amid woes of inflation and high food costs, the Wall Street Journal has suggested that perhaps Americans should skip breakfast to save money. Breakfast staples, they write, are showing massive price increases for a variety of reasons, so maybe just don't eat it.
Juices, eggs, coffee, wheat products are all at record high levels, the report states, so maybe just skip the whole thing, the Wall Street Journal suggested, perhaps taking a page from The Babylon Bee's book.
Pushback to the concept on Twitter was fierce and swift—which could have been part of the point of the WSJ's intent.
Senator John Kennedy was incredulous, remarking "Skipping meals to make ends meet? This is how badly Biden’s economy is beating down average Americans."

President Retard continued “Clothes and heat are not necessary, either. Plus that roof over your head is a white privilege luxury.”
The conventional wisdom is that it’s not a good idea to skip breakfast.

There was a science-based report just this past week that discussed historical evidence that breakfast evolved as the result of food manufacturers promoting the “need” to eat a meal before beginning the workday to benefit ones health and productivity. This despite the fact that until the 19th century there was no such thing as eating a regular breakfast to start one’s day.
Skip the Starbucks coffee swill.
It amazes me to see people sitting drinking what they consider coffee. One local grocery store had a Starbucks so we see the “Better that the rest us crowd” sitting there drinking the swill.
Let them eat Pop Tarts!
And does this mean the schools will have to stop feeding breakfast to the kiddos whose parents are too cheap or irresponsible to?
I’ll bet they didn’t think of that. LOL
Hilariously, the article is hidden behind a paywall.

Just another day in the Joe Biden disaster
Bugs. It’s what’s for breakfast.

For us maybe, but not for the elites. Their meals will be as extravagant as ever.
(This is Biden’s America. Failed and failing more every day.)

History is a more accurate source than whatever you read. A morning meal goes back to ancient times, but fell out of favor in the middle ages when it implied weakness or being a common laborer who needed strength to make it through the day to the big midday feast.
Buy off brand Raisin Bran. Actual advice from Biden.
Actually, not a bad idea. Breakfast was foisted on the populace during the 20th century as a sales gimmick to make money for food producers. Prior to the early 20th century many breakfast items, primarily cereals, were an unknown.
If Stacey Abrams skipped breakfast every day it might make a BIG difference in reversing higher food prices in our struggling economy!
Despite the price of eggs, eggs remain only of the least expensive sources of protein. I calculated the price per gram several weeks ago. Eggs were $0.04 per gram of protein. Egg prices have fallen recently, so it even less expensive.
Very rarely, I’ll have some peanut butter, but that is high in K & P, both of which have be limited due to kidney problems. PB is $0.02/g protein. That’s about the cheapest protein you can buy.
I never skip breakfast, but almost always skip lunch. I’m just not hungry at lunch. I usually have a light dinner, that has a veggie, enough meat/fish/bird to get me past 52 g of protein per day. My diet is low on veggies due to them being high P & K, and I rarely have root veggies, which are also high. I substitute rice or pasta for potatoes. Potatoes are a real treat for me. I’ll have potatoes once ever couple of months, but I leach them of K by soaking them in water all day. I make up for the deficit in vitamin D and B vitamins with vitamin pills. I love milk and cheeses, but I rarely drink milk. I use small amounts of cheese in cooking, particularly when making eggs, and that has yet to have a significant negative impact on my monthly blood tests, which are almost always in range for everything.
How about we don’t subscribe to this pseudo-capitalist newspaper?
