This automatic firearm is still practical.

One dropped the pistol and the other got it in the holster on hip REALLY FAST while digging for the brass in cleavage with the other.

I was doing a job at a gun dealer’s house, years ago. He had some friends over to play with a FA Uzi. He brought out a broken microwave, and a kid drained a mag at it from about 25 feet away. I went up and looked at it, and said “My 12 gauge will do that a lot faster.”

That DP 12 is stunning! One rack loads two barrels independently fired. It holds like 14 or 16 shells.

Well Mossberg is way up there on the preferred list at any rate.

I run 3 gun matches and use my S&W M76 or hell, a Sten Gun for fun and they are very accurate and useful for all sorts of things, esp. when the balloon goes up.

In a firefight, firepower rules. Be the one with the most lead going down range....as the founding fathers intended.

IF we get the NFA out of our way.

Heck, Id settle for some patriot rep in DC to insert this line into the next 1000+ page bill:

18 USC 922 (o) is hereby repealed

....better yet, repeal chapter 4 of the GCA. ;)

“My 12 gauge will do that a lot faster.”

When I left the military in the mid 90’s, I went to work selling weapons for a name retail outlet, and I was always curious as to get a rifle or handgun, there was a background check taking about three days and the buyer was escorted out of the building with any ammo bought not provided to him until after he/she was out of the building. Yet, a buyer could come in, buy a shotgun, and as fast as the process of purchase could be completed, went home with the weapon and the only thing done was the escort.

Shotguns change the dynamic of the firefight. I remember reading about old time peace officer Wyatt Earp who always pre-planted shotguns all around the town he was working so one was available at a moments notice. Give me a pattern, and it is really easy to handle a close range need and they are used to hunt flying birds at distance also like dove or goose. And with the advantage of semi-auto, they are just as effective in a firefight as a rifle or sidearm if not more.

Interesting that Germany tried to get shotguns banned during WW II because of the capacity they had in a firefight with American soldiers as the US troops were wearing them out with them.
