This new gender neutral term was invented by liberals to try to be “inclusive” to that rare person with gender dysphoria.
Hispanic / Latino people themselves did not invent that term. If they had, perhaps it would be more accepted. But since it was an invention of white liberals, actual Latino people shunt it aside as a farce.

We hate the term Latinx because it is made up and ridiculous-it is meaningless in Spanish, which uses the male/female genders in conversation-and it is gibberish in English as well-it is just a term someone pulled out of their ass. And the majority of us are Caucasian-our ancestors were from Spain-not Africa or Japan or China-so please stop with that phony crap that we are offended by anything about white people-Caucasian is “white”-duh! I am a Gringo married to a Mexican from Mexico. She is well educated in our universities will several degrees in STEM. If I called her a “latinex” she would look at me and say, “what the hell are you saying.” She would say it in Spanish which I understand.
