Certainly not in the theological world. perhaps you were thinking of his medical research?

A monumental figure. Do not share the opinion that he was anti-Jew. Luther had a charismatic way of expressing himself (ie against the Diet of Worms) — Luther was criticizing the Jews for their stubbornness that they’ve historically had against God (a criticism that God was first to state historically). Was it over the top? Yes. Was Luther anti-semitic. No.

Anti-Semitic? What would ever give someone that idea?

“First, to set fire to their synagogues or schools … This is to be done in honor of our Lord and of Christendom, so that God might see that we are Christians …”

“Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed.”

“Third, I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing, and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them.”

“Fourth, I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb …”

“Fifth, I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews. For they have no business in the countryside …”

“Sixth, I advise that usury be prohibited to them, and that all cash and treasure of silver and gold be taken from them …”

“Seventh, I recommend putting a flail, an ax, a hoe, a spade, a distaff, or a spindle into the hands of young, strong Jews and Jewesses and letting them earn their bread in the sweat of their brow … But if we are afraid that they might harm us or our wives, children, servants, cattle, etc., … then let us emulate the common sense of other nations such as France, Spain, Bohemia, etc., … then eject them forever from the country …”

He had little tolerance for anyone who disagreed with him, whether Jew, Catholic, or Protestant. He told his followers to “wash their hands in the Papists’ blood”, for example.

"He told his followers to “wash their hands in the Papists’ blood”, for example. Given that the papists tried to kill him, I can understand his view. He was human.

Wow, you really are like the anti-Trump liberals who call him a racist and provide a litany of lists just like yours, and talk about how he locks Mexican children in cages. Yeah, if you present that imagery to someone ignorant, that certainly sounds like President Trump would be 100% guilty.

Look at most of your list from a few steps back. It is because of the Jews embracing idolatry and Talmudic teachings instead of Christianity. I seriously wonder why you would be okay with this. Why are you okay with idolatry? I'm serious. It's a serious sin.

I already told you that Luther is over the top.

Who said the following?

". . . very angry with Israel and removed them from His sight; none was left except the tribe of Judah"

"By the breath of God they perish, And by the blast of His anger they come to an end"

". . .ander may burn against them and that I may destroy them; "

". . . and they will be consumed, and many evils and troubles will come upon them; . . . "

and that's about 10%. Sounds like a lot of what you've quoted above.

By the way, congratulations on learning the tactics of liberals. Hopefully at some point after you’re redeemed, you can apply those tactics and fight for the correct side.

The anti semitism he lovingly learned from the Roman church. Don’t go painting the catholics as innocent here. Yes Luther was flawed just like all of us. God used this flawed vessel to correct heresy and error that permeated the Roman church. Thank God He uses flawed vessels mightily

If God says so things it is his perogative as he is God and he is just. But I dont think it was Luthers place to say those things.

Yeah he was a really nasty, nasty person, but you know, God uses flawed people right? What better way to spread the supposed Truth in a infallible way than with a nasty, vulgar person.

Exactly. We have no idea if his interpretation of scripture was infallible so best to not follow them.

No one's interpretation, nor teaching of Scripture is infallible - except the Savior.

Nor did God ever promise infallibility to those He gave the church - pastors, teachers, elders.

Yet He created these gifts for the Church and told them to teach the Word.
