No not his medical research.

Sevetus attack on western christianity came byo of descartes who was a follower of Servetus. It was descartes who created the whole university system and divided it up into math physics biology chemistry etc.

Descartes created the frame work by which knowledge is understood in the west. In his tree of knowledge metaphysics was the root. Philosophy was the trunk. All the disciplines were the branches. Off on one small branch was theology/witchcraft.

Theology didn’t even belong on descartes tree. Witchcraft was actually at the root of science as it is actually a primitive science—that get cause and effect wrong.

But it was descartes tree of knowledge that newton looked at when he was in school. It was descartes tree of knowledge that 18th and 19th century university anthropologists drew inspiration from when they began treating the bible as like a norse or greek myth. they in turn informed the higher criticism school that eventually destroyed most protestant churches in europe —and are currently killing liberal protestant churches in the USA.

He had little tolerance for anyone who disagreed with him

Sort of like the Catholics when they held the power to force their will on the people. I wonder where he learned this intolerance and anti-semitic views. Oh that's right, he was a Catholic trained monk.

Yet He created these gifts for the Church and told them to teach the Word.

As long as we understand He didn't give them to a manmade denomination when we say Church of Gods chosen ones.

“ As long as we understand He didn’t give them to a manmade denomination when we say Church of Gods chosen ones.”

.....

Any group of saved people who assemble together, and believe the Scriptures, have the promise Christ will be with them. They are an assembly. As they grow, they will appoint elders, etc.

Any group of people who do not have saving faith, nor recognize the authority of God’s Word, are not a church, regardless of their claims and assertions.

So God gave us a bible and said, “yep this is where you go to learn how to be a Christian. BTW no one will be able to discern it correctly, sucks to be you...:

Have you never read the word of God??

God inspired the Scriptures
God gave believers the indwelling Spirit to lead them into all truth
God gave believers pastors, elders and teachers.

You are presenting a logical fallacy - a straw man that does not reflect the truth.

“God gave believers the indwelling Spirit to lead them into all truth”

Sounds good until the conflicting versions of the “Truth” appear. Voila thousands of resulting conflicting denominations...

Its unBiblical and nonsense.

>>No one’s interpretation, nor teaching of Scripture is infallible - except the Savior.

and

>>God gave believers the indwelling Spirit to lead them into all truth

Contradict each other.

In your understanding, perhaps they contradict.

They do not, however.

“ Voila thousands of resulting conflicting denominations...”

The catholic bishops, Cardinals, and pope don’t agree with each other.

The early church fathers don’t agree with each other.

Millions of Catholics have their own version of Catholicism, as they pick and choose what they prefer to believe.

The Church has debated within itself over issues, yes. However some issues are not up for debate and recognized as the “Truth” Thanks to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

“Millions of Catholics have their own version of Catholicism, as they pick and choose what they prefer to believe.”

Yes we call those Catholics “Cafeteria Catholics” and wonder why they just don’t join the Protestants who feel free to pick and choose what is true somehow infallibly despite contradiction.

If God gives believers indwelling spirit to lead them to all truth,

Then at some point, their interpretation that leads to such truth must be infallible

But you said infallible interpretation is not possible...

That does not compute.

You could also call them priests, Cardinals, popes, or members.

For example, it is well documented that the Vatican contains many gay workers, who have drug and sex parties.

No pope cleans house.

Your priesthood is 30-65% gay.

Bishops, Cardinals, and popes are fine with that.

We refer to all of these as Catholics.

So its possible to have an fallible interpretation that leads to the Truth?

Like those believers who are given the “indwelling spirit
“ as you call it who state that infant baptism is True teaching, and those other believers who are given the “indwelling spirit” who state that infant baptism is False teaching?

“ So its possible to have an fallible interpretation that leads to the Truth?”

There is no infallible teaching by men.

We do have an inerrant Scripture.

The essentials are clear in Scripture.

The non-essentials are not clear.

Christians often have differences in areas of Scripture that are not clear.

In Essentials Unity,
In Non-Essentials Liberty,
In All Things Charity

>>>The essentials are clear in Scripture.

Oh, in other words the “indwelling spirit” is only present for the “important stuff” God has spoken, dont worry about the “unimportant stuff”. Didnt know some words by God we pay attention, the others we ignore.

But if you want to take that tact:

The issue of “Take Eat this is my body” and “those who do not eat my flesh have no life” is certainly “essential”, no?

So how can the “indwelling spirit” that leads a believer to Truth lead Luther to one Truth in regards to the Eucharist, and other Protestants, like Zwingli, to another? One, most certainly via logic, or in this case both according to the RCC, has had a failure of the indwelling spirit. In that case, it tells me that the concept of the “indwelling spirit is present in all to lead to the Truth” is false.

If God the Holy Spirit wanted to make everything absolutely clear in Scripture, He would have done so.

He did not.

You find fault with Him??

“ The issue of “Take Eat this is my body” and “those who do not eat my flesh have no life” is certainly “essential”, no?

No... not the way you understand it by setting two different passages together as if they are one thought.

“ In that case, it tells me that the concept of the “indwelling spirit is present in all to lead to the Truth” is false.”

Sorry, but I’ll stick with what the Holy Spirit inspired in Scripture, and leave you in charity to seek.

Best
