The spirit that demands we keep the law and produce good behavior to be saved is contrary to the gospel. Salvation is about BELIEF in Jesus the Christ - His work, His life, His death, His resurrection.

While we are justified by faith being imputed for righteousness, yet obedience by the Spirit according to the Word results from the former. And by which faith the redeemed soul is "accepted in the Beloved" and positionally seated with Him in Heaven, on His account, glory to God. (Ephesians 1:6; 2:6; cf. Phil. 3:21) And those who die in that obedient faith will go to be forever with Him at death or His return (Phil 1:23; 2Cor. 5:8 [“we”]; Heb, 12:22,23; 1Cor. 15:51ff'; 1Thess. 4:17) In contrast to those who were never born of the Spirit or who terminally fall away. I’m not sure perfection is built in the human psych. Working towards it, yes but my understanding of the Bible only God is perfect even if us mere humans don’t understand His methods at the time.
I wrote this just to illustrate the fallacy of putting complete blind trust in any man or man constructed institution.

No, we are born with a heart that rebels. That is our natural tendency. But God demands certain gratitude and acts on our part to prove (to others and ourselves) that we are His flock. Make no mistake we are to do our best to follow (in spirit and deed) His Commandments. But to truly do better one must fast, pray and meditate on what Jesus did on earth. For we are to imitate Him. And by meditating on His life, we may get closer to achieving that goal. Gods Grace does the rest.

It promises that (what is left of) all Israel shall one day "look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn" (Zechariah 12:10) and believe, and "so all Israel shall be saved." ISRAEL: CHOSEN OR FORGOTTEN?. Even RC theology believes that much, though not the 1k reign of Christ.

The problem there is princes, mortal men have decided what goes into the Bible, and they were more likely to put in what pleased them and reject that which didn’t.

If you really believe that then you really need to study the history of the popery of the romans. While swaggerts debauchery is horrible he didn’t order the killing of hundreds of millions of Christians. He is not mentioned in Scripture as the false prophet or the whore of Rome, so while he is repulsive, he isn’t near as bad as the pontifex maximus and the horde that follows him.

Actually, that is a lie from Satan, a Creator GOD that is a sovereign King and has total control according to His infinite wisdom to control His own Word. If you cannot accept that then I say that your problem is not the Word of GOD but believing in a sovereign GOD Creator.
