If you go to the linked article, there is another link to the letter with the signatures. A bunch of Ph.D.’s ...including climate, ecology, anthropology, sociology, women’s studies(!); psychology & others. A few funny ones like astronomy...whaaaa? A tiny handful of M.D.’s.
In other words, the usual suspects.
How is it that for untold generations, people accepted that there were 2 human genders. They met, had children, raised them, and eventually died as a man or a woman. Why only now do we have people deciding their gender based on "what they feel like today" vs. their personal genetics and anatomy? This is just another symptom of the profound sickness of liberalism. It serves to destroy every single norm that ever existed to define society. Now it's gotten down to whether you feel like a boy or a girl today. Tomorrow is another day what you'll feel you are. Surest way to destroy a society, and that's exactly what the libtards are out to do. They haven't figured out what they will do with the chaos that would ensue should they reach their evil goal, but they'll think of something.

And we've done quite a bit of international travel. Filed for many countries' visas; had to complete many health/quarantine certificates. 'NEVER have we ever seen "What gender are you?" It is always, "What SEX: Male or Female?" That's the case in every country we've visited.
What sort of scientists are these? All sorts of people call themselves scientists these days - psychologists and the like are not scientists, however.
When did women’s studies make the STEM list? Time to decertify some universities, e.g., UC Mexifornia.
According to the Congressional Research Service in 2016 there are 6.9 million scientists and engineers in the USA working. that was 4.9% of the total number of people working. I think it might be safe to assume 1600 “scientists” protesting Trump’ transgender polities are not terribly significant. Doesn’t it amount to 0.0238% protestors?It
I think we should go back to 2 sexes and let each person figure out for themselves if Kinsey was correct that 10% of everybody is totally heterosexual, 10% are homosexual with no heterosexual tendencies and 80% are bisexual. Other investigators complicate the numbers by breaking down groups within the three...homosexuals are no longer simply homosexual, now they are transgenders, lesbians, etc. for example.
I ran through the list of signatories. Only about 40% are biologists. Half of them are sociologists, chemists, physicists, anthropologists, or some other non-biological related field. About a fifth are PhD candidates and students.
I saw one who is a chemical engineer and another who is a therapist. So yea, they scraped the barrel.
Mental stability is on a spectrum. These so-called scientists are not in its center.
And all should have their government grants or employment checked. If government employee, fired.

Most transgenders today are girls wanting to be men. Ages 16 to 24. An increase of 4,500% in the last ten years. Some liken it to anorexia in it’s social contagion aspect (spread through the media, internet and peers).
It is probably rooted in the mind the same way that anorexia is. There are numerous places that will treat both the mind and body of the anorexic.
Hard to find a therapist that doesn’t just want to put the transgender leaning kid on hormones and then surgery. It is a mind problem - not a body problem.
And it really is - “I think I’m a man” and the clinic will tell them “Oh - you think you are a man? Okay, well then you need to get on hormones, and then after that you can do surgery.”
In one report, something like 240 people that “detransitioned” were interviewed. Something like 60 of them said they were never questioned or given therapy of any kind. Just got the prescription for hormones on the first visit!
It is nuts. The are destroying our kids. (40% of transgenders try to kill themselves after the transition. Some of their stories are so tragic. “I thought it would make me who I really was. Now I realize that I am nothing.”)
And it destroys the families. Which is probably the goal in the first place.
Keep that list of names. It might come in useful someday to know who they are.
