getting enough sleep and exercise are the most important ways to bolster your immune system.

That is the only thing I focus on, especially daily exercise.

Thanks for posting. I started 1,000 IU daily of D3 a couple weeks ago. I went back through all my lab test records and do not find any D3 workup in the past 10 years. I really don’t want to bother my doc and lab with a needless test, so I’m wondering if I should stick with 1,000 or up it.

The article says “Depending on blood levels, anywhere between 1,000 and 4,000 IU of supplemental vitamin D per day is sufficient for most people.”

Especially important with covid-19 running rampant is to keep your lungs in great shape, and only thing which can do that is regular aerobic exercise.

Do what your mother told you to do:

Fresh air.
Sunshine.
Exercise.
Regular sleep.
Fresh, un-processed food.
Be Racist: Not too much white sugar, white flour, white rice, or white potatoes.
Limit your Alcohol.
Plenty of clean water.
A simple multivitamin.
Brush your teeth.
Wash your hands when you come home, after the bathroom, and before you eat.
Don’t pick your nose.

Unless you have an underlying health condition, this will keep you at your best.

I had sniffles for two days.

I placed myself on a low-carbohydrate diet to reduce my gut bacterial load to enable my immune system to better fight my mild viral infection.

I also brushed and flossed my teeth well and used mouthwash to reduce my mouth bacterial load.

We take D3, 10,000 IU daily along with elderberry and vitamin C.

Gotta work on that sleep thing...

Got an autoimmune disease from a flu shot 20 years ago. Lived in some pain for pretty much that time. But I rarely get colds or flu...when I do it lasts one or two days.

Walk outside every day. Repeat daily. Did I mention you need to do it once a day? (Because the immune system boost is temporary).

The PROBLEM is bioavailability. You can load up on all the Walmart vitamins you want and if it isn't PLANT-BASED, you are throwing your money away. The higher quality PLANT-BASED, the better.

So do you want 8-12% absorption or 92-96%?

What Congress and the FDA did is shameful when they mandated RDA percentage, but did not mandate base absorption rates.

And Selenium is NOT a nice to have. It is absolutely imperative you have it in you. Brazil nuts are the highest concentration that you can get naturally. 500 mcg should fit for most, depending on weight. If you break out with a skin rash, that is because you reached toxicity: no problem, just take a high quality PROTEIN like soft scrambled eggs.

ZINC is #2 on this list!

There are many, many studies that show when zinc is moved into cells via something called “ionophores” (chemicals which move ions across cell membranes), these zinc ions have very strong anti-viral and anti-cancer properties, preventing viral RNA from replicating, and causing the self-destruction of cancer cells.
