At my age, I am still learning about how terrible people can be.
I think it is also important to note that this is an Israeli matter, with both sides being Israeli citizens, being litigated under Israeli laws and (if it comes to that) in Israeli courts. Whatever my personal opinions, I recognize their sovereignty over their own land.
Israel is swamped with Christians who claim to be “Jews.” They go on and on offending others by saying the name of the Lord and talking about “Yeshuah.” Every sad SOB from Tennessee somehow finds their way to Israel and starts talking as if they are sabras. “We’re grafted in...” All silly inventions, and highly irritating.See Free Republic for more of this nonsense.

No one can “steal” the soul of a free person. And you’re saying Christianity has been successful because people are uneducated? You would have been better off claiming your comment was sarcasm.

I’m so sorry. I was insensitive. Instead of “tragically-uneducated” I meant as-of-yet-secular and wide-open to missionary tactics.
Amen to that. Christians used to carry out "pogroms" against Jews, murdering dozens, hundreds, at a time for nearly any perceived slight or provocation. There were thousands of Jews murdered during the Black Death, all because Jews in ghettos were blamed for it since they didn't die at the same high rate (it spread via swine that Jews do not eat, and Jews "social distanced" normally, for fear of violence).

There was no imposition of a requirement that those nations be open to proselytization they saw as against their best interest.
People peacefully practicing their own religion, the religion of their fathers going back 5,000 years, do not need to be told that it lacks anything and that the remedy is to follow the dictates of ANOTHER religion. What nerve!
