Correct, unless a clean head shot a 22 will not take an attacker down. I have known people who chose it because they don’t like recoil, but its stupid. If you can’t handle at least a 9mm then you probably are going to die. I use a 99mm with very nasty defensive frat rounds and I would still like two to the body and a third to the head to be sure. I like my 45 but I prefer mags with more than 7 rounds.
I’m not so sure.
In an emergency when everyone is rushing for the bread, milk, and toilet paper, I am heading for the canned meat section and buying enough for hard times. Not a lot at once but enough of various types.
Got enough TP but also bought a bunch of cheap wash clothes that I can use when the TP runs out. I’ve changed diapers before and am not squeamish.

I’ve got a couple thousand rounds of .22LR, but that’s mostly for hunting in the event I ever need to do that. I don’t really feel too confident in that round to stop an attacker. The self protection rounds are .357, .38, .7.62mm and 12-gauge. I’ve been buying those regularly. Currently I’m looking for a compact 9mm.

.... don’t be bad mouthing the honorable .22. Many a large critter , including grizzly bears, have been take down with the lowly and in-assuming round. With the proper placement, that little zinger can be quite deadly.

Back in the 1980s, there was a gun magazine called FIREPOWER which showed how to make full auto firearms and silencers. For a silencer, it was found that two liter soda bottle hose claimed on the end of a .22 did a good job for several rounds.

No, my wife and I are going to Costco to stock up again. We see the second wave coming, compounded by anarchy and insurrection in the blue cities. We were feeling a little better until we saw all this unbelievable destruction, egged on by virtually every Democrat politician in America as well as all of the media. Now America is controlled by the mob.
