Folk remedy - I have heard that sniffing vinegar helps. Not sure why, but a friend who had lost taste and smell kept a small jar of white vinegar and took a whiff several times a day. Said his smell improved quickly and taste a bit later (several days for smell to improve, a little longer for taste)

    Worth a try.

    Good luck!

Alternate idea - if you want a good copy of a small music gig, Tascam makes a terrific portable digital recorder.
I set mine on a table hit record and set levels, then forget it. Tascam DR-40X Portable Digital Recorder
It’s simple to learn to use, compared to a taper’s setup, and amazing quality. Use it for taping local friend’s bands and it’s easy to copy to PC then upload to Archive or other music-sharing sites.
Also handy for band rehearsals, or jams with friends at parties, etc.

    Nailed it.

We should also remember, alcoholics have a bleary-eyed and vague connection to reality. Wake up mad and sick, looking to throw down in rage at ANYONE. I bet it’s way less crowded at the Chattaqua Compound last 2 years, than before, too. So who’s around to b&tch at?

And chronic untreated/ignored alcohol abuse also can put a person into a sort-of time compression. So she might think the 2016 Election was just a short time ago.

On the other hand, even at this late date, HRC must do the bidding of handlers. Except for tidbits here and there, it’s all talking points from above her pay grade, probably rehearsed on-camera over and over, then edited to take out the coughing and “mis-spokes”.

I’ve had some success using Biotin (a B vitamin) the theory is it can help with hair growth, and part of the ear depends on tiny hairs. But you have to believe it will help (same with any supplement). My ringing is sporadic, not permanent, and very slight when I do have it. Long-time live music fan - nowadays I alway have ear protection when attending rock concerts!

    Hi gla -
I’ve got a friend who is into low&slow and a bbq philosopher. He’s honed his skills, and his dream grill is: the BIG Weber I beleive it’s 29”, price is normally around $299 but can be found on sale.
I’m more of a gas grill guy for convenience, but he is much more into controlling temps and patience. Weber has really a lot of flexibility with their new vent system, and there’s a HUGE amount of space on the big Weber.
    Good luck!

  • Anyone here have a "mypillow"?

Good luck! Have tried DOZENS of high-priced pillows...chronic neck pain/spasms...

MyPillows are very good. I bought a medium and a firm, but had to pull some fill out of the firm to get it right. Only problems for me - foam is a little too soft (mushy), and no zippers to adjust the amount of fill.

Lately I switched to COOP Home Goods version of very similar shredded-foam pillow, from Am*z*n. Better firmness to the fill (maintains height, without being stiff), this helps me because I’m a big dude with wide shoulders, and need a pillow that stays TALL. With the mypillow, the initial firm was tall enough but gave way too much, so my neck ended up bent down. Adding fill made it uncomfortably stiff due to the case.

Key feature of the COOP pillow: zippers to adjust the amount of fill (I needed to rip & stitch to adjust the mypillows). And they are cheaper than mypillow too, if you wait for fairly regular sale price.

Search for “Coop Home Goods - PREMIUM Adjustable Loft - Shredded Hypoallergenic Certipur Memory Foam Pillow”

note - standard size is BIG (almost queen for other pillows), queen is huge like most king pillows. Sale price in December was 35.99.

COOP has one more premium item called “The Eden Pillow” msrp 129 usually offered for 69, but so far I really like the one I have. Even kept a spare that was intended as a Christmas gift (in car as a travel pillow).

/lurker mode off/ hmmm. the tranny toilet policy works so well in the family quarters and the rest of the white house. Obama can’t understand why the general US public is so ignorant - pause - UHHHHH - about the reality of LGBTQ bathroom usage and related sexual dalliance bathroom activity. Back in chicago, man country and boys town — no confusion at all. (they really punch above their - UHHHH - punch above their weight.)

BHO will be so relieved when all of this Prez stuff is over. Never did he consider (before becoming Pres) that the public would be so ignorant about so many things. Or that other politicians would be so ignorant about so many things. Or that all the other world leaders would be so ignorant about so many things. And etc etc...

there may be improvements to the tiny electric vehicles, maybe even by 2020. but their inefficiency and limited range will prevent their widespread public use, and so far has limited industrial use to only those who get government subsidy. I will believe it when I see it.
The simple fact of the matter is, coal-generated electricity used to charge inefficient batteries in order to run vehicles is not even a more environmentally sound approach to transportation — it’s a “feel-good” lib pipe-dream.
On the other hand, we could see large trucks switch to natural gas. if some company started producing nat-gas cars, they could become popular quickly, given the downward pressure on prices lately.

Roux-n-y weight-loss surgery eliminates type 2 diabetes, in most cases, and quickly. Heard it from the surgeon, and have seen it happen with 2 other patients in my Exercise/Cardiac Rehab class. If I had diabetes type 2, that would be my move.
Interestingly, they don’t know WHY the surgery eliminates type 2 diabetes. But it’s been observed, regularly enough that the surgeon who performed my Sleeve Gastrectomy says he is the diabetes-killer.

Jason Lewis is setting up a new site called galt dot io — this is expected to be more of a conservative/libertarian activism collaboration site.

Not sure when the site will go live, but he discusses it often on his syndicated radio show.

Sounds cool, but Free Republic will remain my home page.

just watched the clip on youtube - the oh-so-clever O acting like he just had a brainstorm, inventing fast-on-his-feet the word “romnesia” — what I wonder is how this was shown on the TPOTUS (Tele-Prompter-of-the-United-States):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhg3tTfiUcY
    At 0:18 in the clip:
“we gotta name this condition, that he’s going through. I think..I, I, I—I, I, I think it’s called: Romnesia” (pause for riotous laughter from Bots)
Bots: “ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha”
Such genius, using a faked speech impediment/stutter to make it seem like he’s thinking, when he’s really simply reading ValJar’s words on the screen.
This man missed his calling - clearly a potential for a weekly sitcom (with the canned laugh-and-applause tracks, of course).

Have you seen the posters that are generated from people’s speeches, that are word collages with the words most often used being much larger, and less-often used words show up smaller?
I would LOVE to see one for the Chosen One, biggest words: I, UH...(pause), MINE, PAY, ME, MILLIONAIRES, WEALTHY, MY, MYSELF, BILLIONAIRES, AND...(pause), PAH-kee-stahn, the list of ideas is endless.
Someone may have already done a real one, I would think, of BHO, pbuh. But we could probably come up with one that’s pretty funny.
