U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown has been indicted on federal mail and wire fraud charges following a lengthy investigation of a bogus scholarship fund that made vast sums available for personal use. Her chief of staff, Ronnie Simmons, also was indicted. Brown, 69, faces up to 357 years in prison, a fine of up to $4 million and three years of supervised release. She pleaded not guilty on all counts.

Florida Rep. Corrine Brown has been indicted and will be appear in federal court in Jacksonville on Friday, according to First Coast News. The Jacksonville television station, citing "multiple sources," said the indictment remains sealed.
