Can You Help America?

Can You Help America?

Are you willing to give five minutes or more of your time to think about a solution to a very costly problem that exists in every State in the Union?

If you listen to Rush Limbaugh on TV or on his radio show, you will hear him discuss how dumb and ineffective Democrats can be. He has been saying that the Democrats are only good at whining about problems, not at fixing problems. Rush says the Republicans are the only party that actually fixes problems. Do you believe this? FreeRepublic.com is overflowing with Republicans isn't it? I propose that the Republican FReepers attempt to find a solution to this major problem and demonstrate to America just how effective Republicans (and FReepers) can be.

In the early 1960s, approximately 62,000 illegal aliens came across the Mexican border, and the INS considered this notable and worthy of action. Now, in the first decade of the 21st Century, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens enter the United States across the Mexican border each year and the INS declares the problem too big to tackle because nothings stems the tide. Federal immigration laws state that sneaking into America without going through the INS Border Patrol stations is illegal. Hiring an illegal alien is illegal. Sheltering an illegal alien is illegal. And keeping knowledge from law enforcement as to the whereabouts of an illegal alien is illegal. With Agenda 21, the politicians are looking at every way possible to give those who break these laws a pass by granting amnesty and American citizenship to illegal immigrants. Agenda 21 means effectively removing the borders between Mexico and the US. NAFTA just opened our roads to tractor trailers from Mexico. This situation will become much worse.

This problem has been ignored in just about every city and county in America while costing exorbitant amounts of taxpayer dollars, spent on social welfare and the education of illegal aliens. Ignoring this problem also comes with the cost of an increasing crime rate resulting in too many American citizens being victims at the hands of illegal aliens. Governments at all levels, federal, state and local are not protecting America's federal nor State sovereignty,. nor are they protecting American citizens.

Why should you and I support a federal lawbreaker in our State? So an incumbent politician can get reelected with their illegal vote? I don't think so!

Matricula consular identification cards are solid identification of an illegal allien. If you can't show a birth certificate, a Visa or a green card then you are an illegal alien who has broken our immigration laws. They must leave America and reenter within our laws. We shouldn't have to amend our laws to accommidate lawbreakers! What example does that set for those who are attempting to enter America legally? Much more important: What example does this give our children? That breaking the law can be a rewarding act? If our immigration laws carry no penalty for being broken, why should bank robbery, or molesting children be punished? Do we make our laws for them to be ignored by aliens and politicians? Is a vote more precious than our standards and ideals? Our politicians must believe so, judging from their responses.

The words "protect the people" are found in virtually every Oath of Office taken by elected and appointed officials in the US, including the police chiefs, mayors, county sheriffs, state legislators, governors, congressional representatives, and senators. Sadly, not one of these officials on the public dole is taking their Oath of Office seriously when it comes to the issue of illegal immigration.

The Supreme Court of the United States has wisely ruled that the Feds cannot force state, county or city law enforcement officers to enforce federal laws (including immigration laws), and our local and state officials use this as an excuse to turn their heads on the problem of illegal immigration while our communities slide steadily downhill. Government officials continue to demand higher taxes to keep the illegal immigration problems under "control" yet we can only sit back in wonderment as they pay lip service to the problem while actually enacting legislation and policies that encourage people to emigrate to the US illegally with promises of social welfare and education benefits.

Being an American is a primarily a state of mind for all of us - being a proud American is based on the idea of freedom and self-reliance. We are all immigrants from one country or another, and we (or our forebears) became Americans by consciously subscribing to these ideas. We came here legally, we obey the laws and we promote the idea that others obey the laws in the same way. Are we supposed to sit and wait while the political class comes up with the politically correct so-called solutions that fail to keep America strong and our families safe?

How many foreign college students choose each year to stay in America rather than obey the conditions upon which they entered America? How many older vistors choose to stay at the end of their vacations? How many deported criminal aliens return using a different name? How many Muslims are in America illegally studing our open way of life, just waiting for an opportunity to repeat 9/11? I am sure we have illegal aliens from every country in this world enjoying the American lifestyle, helping to bring us down to a third world power. We aren't too far from becoming the country that these people left. The American culture can only absorb so many new residents each year without radical changes. We have passed that number. We must act now before the policical leaders offer them amnesty and permanently defeat our way of life. The time has come to stand up and fight for what we believe in. The Constitution will become wastepaper. The Bill of Rights will become a memory. Our flag will become a symbol of defeat.

If you have listened to Rush, you know the truth of his broadcasts. If you haven't listened to him, here's an opportunity for you to show how good FReeper Republicans can be at finding solutions to our nationwide illegal immigration problems.

So tell us, what should be done to fix the problems of illegal immigration in your community?

#1. Should we acquiesce and allow the illegal immigration to continue while waiting for the elected officials to address the problem in a substantive way?

#2. Should we wait for Federal legislators to compromise our security and way of life by resolving the problem in a manner that is politically correct and acceptable to every nation in the world?

#3. If we continue to send snail mail and email letters to your local and State leaders. Will the roar be ever loud enough to be heard in the highest offices? What will their response be? Submition to illegal immigrants who want to change America forever?

#4. Should we wait until you fly off the handle and lash out at an illegal alien, surely resulting in legal problems that will further harm your family and ruin your life's ambition to be a good and loyal American citizen?

#5. Should you ignore the illegal immigration problem and hope it will go away before it gets much worse?

What should YOU do?
What should WE do?

It is time to stand together to correct this problem. You are the leader in your family. Your kids look to you to protect them. If you don't help us now, will your children be able to look at you with pride or shame in five years. It's your freedom and your way of life that is up for grabs.

It's your choice, you decide what to do before it is too late.

The new way of life

The solution is to walk-away from the two-party system, but that would take people who can actually think....

It sure would and it is going to happen when both sides get fed up with being overrun in their hometowns.

He said it is a "Christian duty to welcome whoever comes knocking out of need."

The next time a homeless alcoholic asks you for money, remember this. When you see a dug addicted hooker waving at the cars trying to attract a date, stop and give her $50.

Stop in on a construction site

I don't have to stop anywhere B4, any such construction site is governed by the bargaining agreement between the existing labor union and the contractor with the local union providing any and all such workforce. If you have any complaint about any workers being illegal rather than working under a temporary work visa, then you take your complaint to the local. But I really wouldn't recommend it.

But addressing your statement, all you have done again is issue an unsubstantiated allegation. We deal in facts here......

I am referring to your town, not mine. If the problem is 100 miles away, you can't do much. If the problem is 10 miles away, you can do quite a bit. I am asking for solutions in your towns. I want to open peoples eyes to possible solutions in their towns that they haven't considered.

It would have to be a Federal law. No state is going to adopt a law that would penalize itself. It would be extremely hard to pass this law would pass in California, Texas, or any other state that has a large immigrant population. And understand that in my home state, there are many non-Hispanic immigrants that his would likely effect.

You did not mention "my town" but rather issued a blanket statement regarding "construction sites" to which I countered your statement. Whether or not it is "my town" contruction site or "your town" construction site the fact remains that such sites are controlled by the unions and not the contractors.

But to restate a previous post, there has been too much unsubstantiated statements regarding illegal immigration with absolutely no mention of how many aliens may be in this country legally under temporary work visas but being blanketly classified as illegal. Again, it is my contention that this is intentional by the media in an effort to cast a suspicion of doubt on this current administration.

And once again, all "illegal" aliens should immediately be deported with extreme prejudice.......

In Calif. banks accept Republic of Mexico ID to cash checks and open accounts. There was an article in the Orange County Register quoting a bank officer "they are here we know they are illegal but it is our responsibility to give them some legitimacy" I just happen to think laws should be enforced. In Calif. if you can get here you are legit.

If I were to make a similar statement regarding a Detroit police officer being quoted in the Detroit News as saying that he is totally unaware of any illegals residing in California would that nullify your argument? Of course not but that is not the point of my argument. There ARE illegals in this country but I am skeptical about the numbers being quoted by the media.

If there is a problem anywhere then the problem lies in California, not Michigan, Minnesota, Maine, etc...... But to identify the problem in California as being nationwide is a gross misrepresentation of the facts.

I'm not looking to have an all white America! I am looking to have an all legal immigrant society. Shutting down Planned Parenthood wouldn't be such a bad idea either. I think there has been 40 million abortions since 1967.

My sentiments exactly! You talk about this and people think you are bigoted. This PC c--p has gone to far. Orwell sure hit the nail on the head with the thought police.

I do, and they do.

How do you deal with the question of false documents? How far can you check Green Cards, SS Cards, which after all may be in a perfectly valid name. What documents do you request? Got anyone in HR who can interrogate the temps? What agency do you use? Does your company have an ownership position in the temp agency?

What about vendors for maintenance, or materials handling: are you checking documents or is your temp agency checking documents?

And when you say "visas," z-cat, I am am not talking about H1B computer people, although there are certainly too many of them around doing jobs that HR could certainly fill with residents or resident citizens, no matter how much you guys moan.

And last but far from last or least on my illegal alien bitch list, what is your company doing to train young people in Maine?

I certainly do not doubt your honesty or bona fides, but you are naive if you don't know that a false ID industry has sprung up to support illegal aliens and the people who hire them.

I am on your side. I respect you for making sure people are legal. I was just trying to point out that while some folks here might have the same attitude as you, most do not.

Not to be redundant but it is up to you to support your claim that subject temps are illegals. If you think they are then why don't you report them to your appropriate state agency?

This Is what I am griping about. In Calif. it does you no good to report to the appropriate agencies. They are most of the problem

"Local HS Grads and street corner loafers. they have, I have observed: (A) No physical ability, i.e. an 8-hour day is killer! (b) No reading and writing ability which translates into a profound inability to follow written instructions (c)No shift discipline, i.e. ability to show upn time for shift or 5 0r 6 days in a row. (D) It also goes without saying that they have had no mechanical training, which gave older workers a modicum of industrial "common sense." They in some cases must be tiaught to use a screwdriver, and the accident rates among new hires are very high."

You're spot on. In one of my previous lives I was managing editor for a trade magazine publisher. While touring a new Kubota tractor plant in SC (?) I was basically told the same thing by the plant manager.

Their biggest problem was finding welders. They could not find enough to operate the plant at more than half capacity. They placed ads everywhere and even went to the local high-schools to find recruits. They offered to pay people $10-15 an hour just to train them, after which they could make as much as $20-25 an hour plus benefits and all the overtime they could handle. NO RESPONSE! (I really considered quiting my editors job and signing up on the spot - better hours and bennies, and less stress).

The same problem is occuring with skilled trades like vehicle and equipment maintanance. ASE and other organizations who train and certify mechanics for maintenance trades say the pipeline is broken. The few applicants they do get need remedial math, english, and other skills before they can even begin the training programs.

The Culprit? Our schools! Back in the late 60's and early 70's, the education establishment started cutting back on vocational programs (auto and wood shops) in the nations high-schools.

These programs served as a "secondary track" for those students who had no interest or inclination to continue on to college and provided necessary skills to move on in the Blue Collar world. This seems like a good idea doesn't it? And it was.

But then someone (probably Jesse Jackson), noticed that most of the kids in these programs were minorities and working class white kids. These programs were dubbed racist and elitist.

Why weren't these kids all being prepared for college? Who cares if they want to go or not?

Then schools started getting graded (and funded) based on how many of their students did well on SAT's and then matriculated on to college. The final nail in the coffin was Title 9.

Mention "Dual Tracking" and "Vocational Education" to most Phd'd educators and they will react like a vampire who just bit into a garlic sandwich and washed it down with a shot of holy water.

Because of this, most high-schools no longer have any vocational training. Now you either go to college or settle for flipping burgers because you have no other useful skills and even less work ethic. Go to college or go to hell is the attitude.

Most vocational training still left in this country is performed by the U.S. Military. As the last avenue left for those who are not going to college, even Uncle Sam has been chased off of most campi.

Today, a good ASE certifed mechanic can and will make more money than the average college grad with a 4-year degree. A lot of those poor kids who bought into the "you have to go to college" trap are now flipping burgers alongside todays functional illiterates (shift manager if they're lucky).

This is our country they have no right to enter it.
It is immoral not to control our borders
and show no concern for the America that
we leaving behind for future generations.
We have every right and duty to stop this
invasion of our country.
With the threat of terrorists this
has now become the number 1 security issue.
You can blow away whoever you wish overseas
but unless you get the illegals out and control
the border America faces disasters far far worse
than 9-11.

It's not too difficult to determine if the 40 yr old man in front of you with the SSI# 551 55 55xx and the name Jose Rodriques is carrying phony ID when you call the SS Office and ask if the name fits the card. They say no that card belongs to a 67 yr old woman.
