Gasden Flag

So I had about 325 miles to drive home Friday night, plenty of time to do a little pondering. Here's what I have come up with... we better get ready for the battle of our lives, for our country. Before you liberals get your panties all in a wad, follow along for a few minutes, and I'll tell how I have come up with this.

With days to go before Obama got elected in 2008, he made one of the few honest public statements he has ever made when he said he was going to fundamentally change this country. The libs didn't listen. He also said he wanted a civilian security force as well trained and funded as our military. Again the libs didn't listen. He won the election and began his mission. He appointed a ton of czars and advisers, making the obvious effort to circumvent the balance of power by ruling through regulation instead of governing by legislation. The libs didn't notice. Congress didn't seem to notice either, even though the Executive Branch began gaining weight and tipping the scales.

He nationalized two of the three car companies, then focused on the banks. Then he forced Obamacare upon us, who really knows what's buried in that bill. The stimulus was next, and continues since our government is still running withou a buget. He captured control of the energy industry after an unintentional drilling disaster which he turned, somehow, into a criminal act.

He arbitrarily decided to take us to war in Libya without any approval from anyone (more on that later) in direct contradiction to the Constitution. Nobody called him on that effectively, he basically said "we went 'cause I said so..." He put troops on the ground in North Africa without approval, nobody noticed. His gun control mission started a long time ago, and again he doesn't answer for Fast & Furious, executive privilege? He passes a message to Putin about how much more "flexibility" he will have after the election. Again he capitalizes on yet another tragedy to push his disarming of America agenda (the Brit's tried this here too, a couple hundred years ago), he knows an unarmed America cannot resist tyranny.

I don't need to dive into Obama's history very far to understand that even if he was born in the USA (I have my doubts), he was not raised as an American, he has made that clear. Neither was his wife, or Jarrett for that matter. So obviously, they don't put any credence into our traditions and principles. And I know I have left out a lot of "accomplishments" by Obama and company, I have been just hitting the highlights.

If more so-called “Patriots” turned out for the last election, Obama wouldn’t be in the WH today.

Instead, enough conservatives pouted because “their guy” wasn’t the nominee or that the nominee wasn’t conservative enough, so they stayed home.

What happened to the “broken glass Republicans” this last election?

Obama not only won because of fraud, but due to the apathy of the many conservatives that stayed home on election day.

2008: 59,948,323 voted for McCain/Palin
2012: 60,931,767 voted for Romney/Ryan
2004: 62,040,610 voted for Bush/Cheney

If 62,040,610 voted for Romney/Ryan as they did for Bush/Cheney in 2004, Romney would be POTUS today instead of Obama.

Correction: If 62,040,610 voted for Romney/Ryan as they did for Bush/Cheney in 2004 and the extra votes came in swing states, Romney would be POTUS today instead of Obama. (I hit the key instead of the key.)

All logic, reasoning and facts are wasted on Odumbo liberals. They are too stupid to comprehend what is happening. I've seen them in action personally.

Well, they may be too stupid to see what the end result will be, but they knew what they were doing, when they voted for Odumbo. They were voting for free stuff. I spent 20 years of my life, fighting the cold war, protecting this country from the communists. Little did I know they would win without firing a shot. Unfortunately, I believe others are right, we have reached a tipping point, and being as another civil war will never happen, America is over. I cry many tears over her demise, but I believe it is over. Can we ever recover? Possibly, but it took Russia 70 years to get out from underneath totalitarianism, it may take that long for America to get out from underneath it too. Alex, I am jealous, as are others here. Can I have your permission to come sip cool drinks with you on those beautiful Philippine beaches?

I am use to it.
It is the old “dog in a manger” syndrome.
I feel their pain, and if I were a slave back there I might also be envious, but not angry with those that escape.
There are a few of them on FR, but I get many more emails
from others that want to know how to do it.
They understand the meaning of “Free”.

America hangs in the balance. It is anybody’s guess as to where she will be in four years.
In the meantime, I will enjoy my senior years on my beach with my new family.

You took the words out of my mouth.
America recover? God only knows, but I do not expect it in my lifetime.
Remember, Central Europe was under the Communist thumb, but they have recovered.
If I had to leave here for some unknown reason, I would go back to Slovakia.
As for the others on here, some may be jealous but it does not bother me. As I said...I feel their pain.
I have many more that private mail me to get info.
As I have stated, I love America, but I can not save her from the idiots.

You are always welcome to our beach.
Their is a very small group of us that made a small sitting garden above the beach. We gather there for some Sam Miguel at 4 PM each day.
There is my landlady’s husband from PA, and a fairly recent expat from Cape Cod. Others come by from time to time.
The three of us are married to Philippine wives.

One other word of caution...This is a third world country. Some people can not adapt, but most can.
I had a Swedish friend here. He had married a local girl, but he could not accept the culture.
They both moved first to Malaysia. That was no good, so they then moved to the Canary Islands. They seem to be happy there, and she received automatic Spanish citizenship due to Spain having ruled the Philippines for so long.

I think the Europeans outnumber us Americans here.

You are right of course, some can not adapt. I know I can. I have been married to a Filipina before, and I have been to to the Philippines many times. Every time I go to the Philippines, I do not want to come back to the states, as you know, I was in the Philippines last week. You are right, I met more Europeans than Americans there, but in 10 days, I met a bunch of them. It seems Cebu and Davao are over run with Americans and Europeans. I am sad for my country, it is only a shell of what it was in the past, and will not recover in my lifetime, though I sincerely hope it will, after I have gone to my eternal reward. See you there my friend and say hello to your magandang asawa, I will say hello to mine for you.

I knew you were in Davao in our last mail, but I did not know your schedule.

Yes, there are FReepers that refuse to see the obvious.
I might be the same if I were stuck there with no options
to run my own life.

I will also be joining AlexW and other ExPats in the RP within the next few years - hopefully before Michelle Obama is elected POTUS in 2016

I’m not abandoning my country, but my country is for the most part, abandoning me and my conservative principles.

As I approach retirement age I see things getter worse before they get better in the US

I will also be on a tropical beach enjoying a cold drink and a warm woman while living a much higher quality of life than I could in the US on my 401k and my SS, if SS remains solvent.

I am also looking into alternate ways to make an income on the internet in the meantime and sifting thru 99% of the scams to find something worthwhile that will supplement my SS income or replace it if necessary.

Maybe some of these critics are envious - IDK, but I do know that it’s going to take a generation or perhaps longer to turn things around in the US, if ever, and I won’t live long enough to see that day although I hope that I do.

Meanwhile, I’ll enjoy life overseas on a sugar-white beach while gazing at Windex-blue water during my last years on this planet, God willing.

Sounds like someone is either bitter, projecting, or both.

Yes Alex, I was in Davao City from Feb 17 and I returned on Feb 26. It was a tearful farewell for sure. I call her on her new IPhone almost everyday. I need to retire, get all my affairs in offer, then I hope to be back in the Philippines by the end of the year.

Rodney, good for you. Stay away from Manila, it is too crowded. There are many English speaking people in the Visayan region, you can private message me for more info about that. If you have a Filipina wife, all the better. If you are single, you can get one easily. Most of them are sweet and family oriented.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

They turned out and they did vote for Romney. Massive voter fraud nullified their votes.

However....Any man who refuses to FIGHT massive VOTER FRAUD does not deserve to be president. WIMP!

This is probably true. I have heard where Nixon lost to Kennedy because of voter fraud too. If that is true, it appears Nixon did not challenge it either. What can be done? We vote, they steal it, we vote they steal it again. I have my opinion about what needs to be done, to deal with it, but I can not say what I really think. Since this "opinion" will not happen, I do not think the nation will recover for maybe the next 50 years. I wish I could be more positive. As I had previously mentioned, I spent 20 years in the military, keeping communism at bay, but I never thought they would win from within. I shed tears over my country and still do.

“Reading his posts over the years it is always the same.”

Then don’t read them if they bother you so much.

It’s his life, he can live it how he wants as long as it doesn’t affect or harm you, right?

Do you know Alex personally, or just know about him from what he has written here?

If it’s the latter, then you only know about him what he has chosen to share about his life here and not his entire life story, his past sex life or any other personal matters that is NOYB or that you make assumptions about.

Maybe nobody ever calls him out about it is because it’s his life and his business and not theirs and/or that they are happy for him instead of bothered by his decision on how he chose to live his life.

He sounds genuinely happy, so why would anyone be bothered by that?

Your post came off as extremely rude and as a personal attack towards someone that has been very generous and unselfish with his time in assisting and advising others on retiring in the RP without asking for anything in return.

You’re not the arbiter of how people should live their lives or if they choose to retire overseas like I will be doing in a few years.

Like I said, I’m not leaving my country, my country has left me along with my conservative principles and if I choose to spend my last years in a tropical paradise with a low cost of living instead of in the US under an Obama Presidency, then it’s my business and my choice and if it offends or bothers other people, then that’s their problem and not mine.

And if I choose to write about it in the “Bloggers & Personal” forum where it belongs, why should it bother others?

Fair enough?
