I’m Not Angry At Donald Trump, I’m Angry At His Supporters
The Matt Walsh Blog ^ | August 10, 2015 | Matt Walsh

Posted on 08/10/2015 9:21:32 AM PDT by Theo

I’ve noticed that most of my readers are not Trump fans, and I appreciate that. I love you guys for being reasonable and not falling for this glorified circus elephant. But Trump fans will come out of the woodwork because of my latest piece here, and when they do I want you to notice something: they claim they like Trump’s “blunt and unapologetic” approach, but watch how they react when that blunt and unapologetic strategy is turned against them. Watch what happens when someone is blunt and unapologetic towards them.

This is the first sign that Trump’s legion of admirers aren’t sincere. They say they like his tone — which is already a terrible, horrible, ridiculous reason to elect someone president — but it turns out that they just like his tone when he’s regurgitating their own shallow sentiments.

Trump, of course, is the same way. He claims to be the bold, politically incorrect guy, but he cries like a scrawny bully when anyone punches him back. He’s weak. And that’s what led to the now infamous incident a few days ago, where he attacked Megyn Kelly for asking him tough questions, insinuating that she was on her period.

Your nasty comment is precisely what Matt Walsh is talking about. Pure nastiness coming from Trump supporters like you.

Seems I witnessed that on Thursday with the Fox moderators.

And everyone is watching the reaction now.

Voting for someone because of how they sound is wrong? That’s how Obama got elected twice. So, if you want to get elected you’d better “sound” like the voters want you to sound. Then once you’re in you start being yourself.

“Trump’s supporters can’t handle the truth.”

Some people bring up Trump’s actions and statements to argue that he’s not the right man.

Others just insult Trump supporters, then complain about how Trump supporters go around insulting others.

When you’re on the wrong side of an issue, you argue like a liberal—even if you are otherwise conservative.

That’s why, whenever I see someone arguing like a liberal, I suspect that he will be on the wrong side of whatever issue is under discussion.

His response to Megyn Kelly was fine. Even the 3AM Tweets the next morning were fine. Anything after that was petty and attention whoring. It is long past time to let it go. He was right in that we need to move past political correctness and personalities and get to the issues. So why, 4 days later, is he still talking about Megyn Kelly and keeping his personality war with her on the front page?

The GOPe has created the Vacuum that Trump is filling.

Had they taken their role seriously as “The Loyal Opposition” rather than Democrat / Obama Lap Dogs, Trump wouldn’t even be part of the equation.

Look what the GOPe did and continues to do to Ted Cruz, an Elected Republican Senator. It’s as plain as day.

Blame the spineless GOPe. They are Democrat collaborators.

WHAT!

You don’t believe a man that can’t go 30 seconds without telling you how rich he is and how his being rich makes him important and his being rich means he can buy whatever he wants including politicians to do his bidding, would throw all his riches away just to be president?

You sir have a bad case of common sense.

Guess I’ve got a bad case of common sense too because I don’t believe Trump is going to throw away a $10 Billion empire and everything that goes with it just to be president.

Never heard of Ted Cruz? I invite you to look into what he’s said, and done.

I enjoy Matt Walsh, but I think he is missing the larger point.

I think a lot of conservatives haven’t decided whether or not they would vote for Trump in the primary, but they are enjoying how he has the media and the elites clutching their pearls and reaching for the oxygen every time he speaks. Trump is also a big voice for the frustration and anger many have on the issue of illegals streaming over our border. That anger is way deeper than the media and elites from both parties want us to think.

So Shara was invited to Clinton’s wedding?

Answer the question; Name one Republican Candidate other than Trump that you would stand by for a second if they were in a picture like this having invited the Clintons to their wedding?

I truly don’t see anyone else running who would be better than Trump. And that includes Cruz because Cruz is hated by the republicans more than Trump is. Why? Because Trump has money to give to them. If Cruz were to become president he would be shut down. And don’t think that just because a majority elected him that the DC elite would give a damn.

To: Lopeover

Exactly.

You pointed it out.

There are responsible conservatives who have bucked the establishment who are running.

Sen. Ted Cruz is a responsible conservative with a reliable and measurable track record of service.

It is precisely Trump’s track record which causes plenty of concern. His past policy positions-—he has been all over the map on every issue conceivable as well as his past campaign contributions to numerous Dems including the Clintons.

Of course now that Trump is running for the GOP presidential nomination, he is campaigning to the right of Attila the Hun. But it is all hot air. I don’t trust him.

McConnell and Boehner are not running for president. I think Trump should be measured and compared to other candidates running for president. Fortunately there are responsible conservatives we can choose from among those who have tossed their hat into the ring. Trump isn’t the only choice, thank God.

It is long past time to let it go.

He’ll let it go when they let it go. As far as I can see, they are the ones that have so much to lose. His MO seems to be to make his enemies pay dearly for every shot until they stop shooting.

Progressives often ASS-U-ME things, whether you are one or not, you`re making an ass out of your self here as I am an ardent Cruz supporter, but I respect the FACT that like Cruz, Trump actually has the BALLS to tell it like it is and not back down to the inevitable progressive counter attacks, which infuriates progs no end, which brings me to the million dollar question, why do you hate Trump so much as to defend a proglodite like this @sshat?
