Cruz supporters: Did Cruz's comments change your mind on him?

I am a Trump supporter but I would like to know if Cruz's comments about Chicago changed the mind of any of his supporters. Is it A) no difference I still support Cruz B) I am rethinking my support for Cruz C) I am now going to support another candidate or not voting?

I haven’t tried to belittle you.

A masters in education. Explain why the US is 30th in the world with the highest per pupil spending?

Want to be smart, now is your moment.

Are you changing the subject because you don’t want to address the fact that Trump is a RINO. You show me how smart you are and tell me why you would vote for this man? Be specific and give facts to back your words.

TED CRUZ DID NOT BLAME TRUMP FOR THE VIOLENCE IN CHICAGO. Period. Full stop.
. . . but when intimidation is exerted against the people who want to hear Trump - and when those people have a right to hear Trump and not, say, Hillary Clinton or any acolyte thereof, criticism of Trump is in that context, out of bounds. It is, at best, a half truth.

Trump has not made protesters comfortable in his venues. But they are his venues, for the duration of his events. The people who are invited want to hear him - not you and not me, him. Such people are under no obligation to be welcoming to interruptions. They need not be more civil than the interrupters. Trump has made that point, if not in those words. And political competitors of Trump do themselves no favors by going out of their way to contest that.

All in all, IMHO Cruz is the best person of offer for POTUS - but he made an unforced error when he said anything more than that it is illegitimate to disrupt other peoples’ events.

The Democrats need people dependent on the Government.

That is their ENTIRE platform.

Read a book on why this Nation exists in the first place.

Education Master should know all about the Pilgrimage and
why they left Europe.

Sure he is. Are you going by what he says when he is on TV or what he said at the New York Times? And if you think he will have the power to get Mexico to build the wall, I have a bridge in the desert that I am sure you will love. Pull the blinders off. Would love to challenge you to actually listen to what he says, what is true and what is not. He says a lot of things people want to hear, the problem he has no clue how the Constitution really works for us. Emotion moves his followers, not head knowledge. Everyone wants to win, but what will you actually win if he ends up as our president?

You see that... but you DON’T see that.

Cruz was in first. I can make the claim everybody else was following him. I do give Trump Kudos for bringing immigration and Islamic hate into the debate in ways no one else does. I give Cruz the credit for actually killing the gang of 8 amnesty bill before Trump was even putting out a talking point as a contender. I also say *CRUZ* is the stronger candidate because he hangs his campaign on the Constitution which is the best thing anybody can run a campaign on.

Wow! Dog whistle??? Please provide some examples of a dog whistle to racists KKK people...I have listened to nearly every Trump Rally and heard nothing that could be construed as such...However, since I am not a racist and I am low information because I support Trump, maybe I missed something, so please enlighten me.

Actually, today a black pastor with whom Trump has dealt for years introduced Trump at a Rally in Ohio...Sorry, but he said glowing things, so apparently he did not hear a dog whistle either.

Of course No one is calling Cruz a racist because the KKK rumor was not perpetuated about him. That said, Cruz refuses to go to places like UIC. Had he gone to UIC, there would have been protests. He went up to a nice suburban fundraiser instead! That is his choice, but how dare he pile on Trump implying Trump is a racist and deserves the violence at his Rallies. Oh, and for the record, I don’t like being referred to as low information and not engaged ;(

Someone is going to get injured or killed because of the likes of Glenn Beck and his stabbing and Hitler comments—and Cruz gets no criticism for not disavowing Beck...yet Trump is the bad guy because he did not disavow a bogus KKK endorsement enough times (There were dozens of disavowments) Sheesh!

The other candidates not only are not correcting the record, the weasels have piled on big time. I am so mad I could scream.

But then again, unlike all the kibitzers here, I am the one who was in a car surrounded by a mob so outrageous it is on YouTube.

Shame on Beck, Cruz GOPe and shame on you for defending them.

It isn’t a personal attack when it’s true. You say you don’t support left-wing policies - wow, are you far off base. You think Cruz is all that? He’s a big phony who has thrown in with the Bushes. It must be sad to be you because not only do you lack discernment, but, you lack good judgment as well.

Mexico is not going to build the wall, that is like Russia building a Sub Base in Savannah.

I am done with DC. Plain and Simple.

I had planned on voting for Mr. Cruz in the AZ primary.

Two more votes for Trump in AZ (me and my wife). The funny thing is, my wife has been for Trump for months and I have been for Cruz. I started turning off to Cruz during the last two debates as he seemed to come off more and more "lawyerly." The comments last night solidified my commitment to Trump. My wife said about my change to Trump (and therefore, agreeing with her), "That NEVER happens!"

Oh how naive you are.

Cruz has a 97% conservative voting record. He's called McConnell a liar on the Senate floor. He's led the fight against Obama again and again even when it was a lonely battle. He's BEEN THERE DONE THAT. All we have from Trump is tall talk. Where Trump's actually been suggests he's a typical New York liberal. Who is the Naive one now?

Your NEA and Common Core crap goes away as well.

I am in my 50’s and have never come across a new generation that knows absolutely nothing about freedom and how to think for themselves.

Quite a record the education establishment has going there.

Cruz still has my support. I heard his comments and did not take it as Trump supporters are saying.

I keep in mind that it is a campaign, we choose our guy, and we’re going to hear what we want to hear in some respects where our own candidate is concerned. Most of what they say is campaign rhetoric. As long as they aren’t making too many policy statements I disagree with, I’m okay.

This castrus individual only has name calling in his arsenal. Discussing anything with him is pointless.

What does Common Core have to do with my comments? I would love to debate the subject of this post, but I am now understanding you are not interested. Have a nice night.

Don’t forget the Trump Rally if the DNC/RNC brownshirts let him have one.

Of course Trump has encouraged his followers to commit violence,

and if he hadn’t done so, is it your position that the thugs taking over the streets would stay home and be model citizens...?

What Ted doesn’t realize, is that if he were the front-runner, he would be their target.
