Repeatedly, FR moderators have moved TOP postings related to current NEWS and calls for conservative ACTIVISM from the News and Activism section, over to "blogger's and personal" which has no traffic by comparison.
I fully understand Jim Robinson's original purpose in launching FR, to provide a community in which conservatives could get TRUTH not available in the MSM, information not available in the MSM and access to fellow conservatives so that we could work together towards a conservative agenda.
Yet time after time, FR moderators bury this information over in "blogger's and personal" and kill story after story, vital to the conservative movement.
Why?
Without a change in this policy, I am through posting to FR. The moderators on FR have less sense than the moderators on DU, where they at least work to bury the opposition, instead of themselves.
What gives? Anyone understand this self-defeating policy?

No offense, but the blind rage started in the original post calling to 'dump' the site and comparing the mods here to DU. We are very protective of this site.. I almost was about to go off as well when I saw that until I saw you posted it because I know you post a lot and aren't a troll..
Imagine if you frequent your favorite coffee shop, you've been going there for years, it is fun, it is where many of your friends are, you enjoy it.. and suddenly, someone barges in and starts yelling to everyone to dump the shop, saying the coffee sucks, and complaining about how the waitress makes the Cafe' Lattes. Do you think people would calmly and rationally try to converse with that person or do you think they would be protective of their coffee shop and the waitress they have known for years and try to throw the complainer out?
Look I know you are a decent person...people just dumped on you a bit because of the title. Some were kidding also. I am no expert...amused could explain it better or other posters who have been here longer-I still make rookie mistakes on ocasion, but the idea seems to be it depends on the content ...especially with editorials as to where they go on this forum...is it new or is it breaking? I think with one post, it’s possible another poster had already posted it in either blog or chat...not positive though. Don’t leave.

Here is another perspective. FreeRepublic isn't just some news board, we are one of the most respected political news sites on the net. We get higher posts than the Washington Times, NY Post, and many other major newspapers.
Think about it like a manufacturer trying to get in to Wal Mart. Everyone wants in, only a few are worthy to play. This isn't just some forum, this is the premier Conservative political site. Are they worthy of this site?
Moderation is for sallies.

Seriously, Free Republic is a blessing to all of us...hope it keeps going well forever. People credit, Rush with getting out the conservative message, and he does. But who broke the Rathergate wide open...we were first as we often are.

However, I posted mine to News and someone else posted another copy to Blogger’s. Both are now in Blogger’s...
I will not wear a skirt...or a kilt. My Irish parents attempted this once for a parade...I ran away...as every non-sissy boy would. This would be the Irish equivalent of the pink bunny suit in A Christmas Story you see...life would have been very tough at PS whatever.
