Two parts of an ancient biblical manuscript separated across centuries and continents were reunited for the first time in a joint display Friday, thanks to an accidental discovery that is helping illuminate a dark period in the history of the Hebrew Bible.

FWIW, the Dead Sea Scrolls are available for viewing by members of the public at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Related seminars available.

what a great article; it reads like a movie plot for Nicolas Cage! unreadable scroll fragment is sent from NC to Jerusalem, a scholar sees a news photo and knows enough about the fragment to match it up to its readable sister, part of a private collection back in NY. Amazing stuff!
