You wd have to read the linked article to see how many false statements it contains. Every debunked piece of Barry’s Dreams mythology is in it. [To name just one, it repeats the tired claim that Obama Sr & SADO lived together 2 yrs before O’s acceptance at Harvard & his limited finances forced them apart. It’s chock full of other straight up lies also.] Anyone who trusts this article to establish that Obama II’s mother died in ‘70 needs to believe all the other lies it contains also. Stanley Ann Obama was granted full custody in the Obama divorce, prior to the Soetoro marriage. After the Soetoro marriage, SSA and IRS would have been notified of the marriage name change from Obama to Soetoro after the marriage certificate was filed in Hawaii. Consequently, Stanley could file jointly and attach a notice of marriage name change with her tax return to avoid an audit. Since Stanley Ann was granted custody after the Obama divorce, she would have to show the final divorce decree to prove she and her husband, whom she chose to file jointly with, were entitled to take the deduction.
We know the Dunhams didn’t take a deduction for Obama on their tax returns because they were not granted custody. In 1971, the Soetoros were stripped of their custody rights and custody was transferred to CSS of CT through a contractual relationship they held with Office of Refugee Resettlement of HHS. Madelyn Payne Dunham was appointed Obama’s guardian.
If the Dunhams had taken a deduction for support and maintenance of Obama and then were audited, they could not prove custodial rights. Custodian rights must be assigned by a Court if the parents are not the custodian. Custodial rights could not be gifted to a relative. Otherwise, every wealthy grandparent would claim custody of their grandkids to save on taxes.
I too have wondered at the lack of physical resemblance between Obama II & O Sr. Barry O’s Dunham characteristics are v strong & pronounced, yet he bears not even a tertiary resemblance to the round-faced, extremely dark-complected O Sr. Only DNA wd truly unlock this mystery. From just a physical-resemblance POV, however, O Sr. doesn’t look to have had anything to do w the end product.
Does anyone know anything about a blog called LameCherry? It appears to be the primary site pushing the Anna Chin-is-Obama’s-mother theory [though w zero evidence; it’s all speculation (based on what a particular person in a particular photo was thinking—as if Cherry is God, or cd possibly know such things otherwise)].
I also read that LameCherry is racist, & I saw a post that appeared to confirm the charge. Does anyone know more about it? Thank you in advance.

For the record, I recently said that he never mentioned the son to his friends, etc. I don’t recall saying anything about Ann, but it’s certainly true that many of his friends said they didn’t know he married anyone, especially her. It remains to be seen whether or not that writing on the INS documents is his. It appears that the information was added.
I tend to agree with Fred that’s it’s very, very curious that information seems to have been added to the documents, in an “out of context” kind of way, that just happened to coincidentally answer questions that (at the time these INS records were released) just happened to be topics of discussion in the blogosphere.
For example, people wanted to know: What was her name? Shirley? Stanley? Ann? S. Ann DUNHAM? Ann S.? Anna OBAMA? Why the sudden switch to Ann S.?
On a legal document, a person is supposed to use the legal name. It was too pat that someone wrote in the birthdate and birth location for the “son” and made sure to note: USC.

OK I’m comparing these two sets of people w.r.t. Privacy Act & FOIA and the request of the tax returns:
SADO and Lolo and maya
The only living person of this group is Maya and she’s an Indonesian citizen, so privacy act doesn’t apply.
Or is she a u.s. citizen?
If she’s a citizen, why did the FOIA trump the privacy act in this situation?

One person in this group is alive and he is ASSUMED to be a u.s. citizen, so the privacy act and FOIA apply.
For one period of time was a state senator and national senator and now occupies the white house.
So there is the privacy act trumping FOIA.
The questions I have about. the exception are:
why does Maya have less privacy than 0? Both of them are still living.
Why do the dunhams have more privacy than Lolo and SADO? All of them are deceased.

IIRC SADO interchanged “Ann S.” and “Stanley ann” on some of those FOIA documents, here’s the link: (note, this packet may have the BHO SR docs on the front)

It is clear to me that the two pages, 14 and 35, where Sr. wrote “Ann Obama” and “Ann S. Dunham” were in his own hand and not added. On the pages where an official made notes the different handwriting is clear and there is almost always an accompanying memo documenting the interview with BHO Sr. and demonstrating that it is Sr. who was the source of most of the hand added entries that fill in the blanks on the extension application form. Totally proper, IMO.
On page 14, the ‘O’ beginning Obama in the name of spouse, “Ann Obama” has BHO Sr.’s particular way of writing his capital ‘O’ beginning with a little loop at the top that starts in the middle or even right side of the letter at about 2 or 3 o’clock and then goes clockwise to form a the little loop and then the bigger ‘O’ loop completing the letter.

I was wondering whether Maya privacy rights were compromised, too. Maybe, but no social security number or income or other privileged information is released for Maya, only her name and her relationship to Ann and Lolo.

As a retired CPA I can assure you that there is absolutely NO IRS requirement that a tax filer prove custodial rights in order to claim a person as a dependent.

I haven’t looked at the exact 1973 language, but the current language above includes both citizen AND RESIDENT children and custody is NOT required.
The Dunhams could claim Barry as a member of household, related by birth and at a minimum a legal resident of the US by virtue of being enrolled in Punahou and residing with his grandparents who were providing more than 50% of his support. Being a citizen is not required now and I doubt it was required in 1973.
I THINK YOU’RE RIGHT...He may have carried a photograph of a little boy - but it wasn’t zero. Remember Zeituni was so upset when she was interviewed, she said of course he was born in Hawaii, she remembers the kenyan wrote home about it...and that would have been just like the other letter the clan received, the one in which he told them he had married a woman named Anna Toot and was working for an oil company.
(I think he was working at the Dole Cannery actually, it’s on his immigration file.)
The kenyan wrote home, Onyango was the only one who could read, and Zeituni was a young girl at the time but she remembers. And the clan member who recalls the name Anna Toot, I bet he didn’t get that name from reading ‘Dreams’ that article was published on an African website in 2004.
Seems to me the Onyango Clan knew all about the little boy that Anna and the kenyan had. And that’s the photograph he carried around with him, and that’s the boy he would have visited several times, while he was at Harvard.
Maybe that’s the boy Mary baby-sat for Anna Obama, the child they were thinking of adopting out, but he found someone to look after him after the mother left; the woman from whom he says he was separated.
That’s why I’ve always asked, WHO WAS ANNA OBAMA? She was in the Seattle Polk and the Seattle Reverse directory for 1961-62.
As to where do I get the images from? Simple. Google images, mostly, but the blog WTPOTUS (We The People Of The United States) does some of the best research on the web. They don't tolerate disruption or obots for a second, and their image file is a treasure.
