If you're running the console version, I can't answer right now. I might crank that version up to do some more WUs, but will wait until the existing ones are finished.
Ok, now i've officially been at this almost exactly 1 week.
I've STILL got 2 computers yet to check in. One is a slow piece of crap p4 1.6 and the other is this one and I've throttled it back because my hot machine, this one and my wife's all share the same 1500UPS. When I pump this one to 100% my UPS whines that I've got less than 5 minutes time remaining by using about 650 watts.
I've done 20WUs so far, but as a team, we're all cranking! Woot. I can add more machines if we hit a wall. Need to get more freepers going.
Yeah, it's the gui version. Unless you right click and do "display" it just sits in your tray, there's no cycles stolen on the display. If you have a modern video card, even if you display, the cycles lost are negligable.
The "use IE settings" refers to how your computer connects to the Internet. It could be a direct connecton, through a firewall, dial-up, whatever. That just means do it the same way the IE is configured.
Team rank #1,500.
Congrats, team! Let's go for Top 1,000
Well, I've got a third machine up and running, but it's a Duron 950, at about 67%, and it's first project is a 3750 framer, so it may be April before we see any results !! LOL
Team progress has been GREAT, but we need some more freepers to help us out. Come on guys, it takes very little time, and is free. Do a keyword search on "folding" and see what a good cause this is. If you need help setting up, anyone on this thread will be willing to help.
Well get to it buddy!!! Looks like you overtook me in the team standings. Way to crank them out. I've got a machine swap or two coming up this weekend but hope to have things stabilized after that.
F2H now lists us at 1491 as of 2:15 CST, and ExtremeOverclockers.com lists us at 1474.
We are gaining on lots of teams, with only team, QUT HPC gaining on us. We really need a couple of machines to kick in to put some space between us and them.
We have contributed 4,294 points in the last 24 hours which will push into the Top 1000 in the first half of January. This is the key stat that I focus on.
I have added a couple of slow systems to the cause. Slow, but I can run them 24x7 at home over Christmas before they go to their new homes.
Another interesting stat at fahstats.com: in terms of points in the last week, we are in 239th place; for points within the last 24 hours, we are #196.
That's why we should strive to be in the Top 200 teams. Since FR is the largest and most active community on the Internet, we should have no problem breaking into the Top 100. We need ideas on how to get more FR members to sign up.
Thanks KiT, I was wondering what IE had to do with anything.
Just finshed my 1st WU on Team FR & got on the board. 182 points - looks like a pretty typial problem. It took 7 days to finish the 1st WU, that sound about normal?
The new problem is now 1% done after 2 hr, so it should take about the same time as the 1st one (assuming only 2 hours are enough to predict).
I notice it has downloaded and is running a different core that the first problem. Interesting.
Does anyone know how we could go about petitioning FR to put up a team page and a link on the header or sidebar to give us more visibility.
Well, yer doggin me! ROFL. We keep swapping spots. All of mine have finally checked in. I see you've got 5 machines on the board. I got 2 smokers, 3 so-so and 3 also-rans. I may stick another couple in this coming week just for giggles.
I've noticed something similar. When a WU first starts, the time estimates seem to be way off. Once it's been running for a while and has more statistics for the current WU, the timings become more accurate.
Well, looks like you'll stay ahead of me for a while. I'm losing one of the machines tomorrow (2.8GHz Pentium.) My daughter brought her laptop over Thursday because it wouldn't boot. I figure that since she got a free multi-hundred dollar computer repair, I might as well use it for a couple WUs in the meantime. :-)
For those of you with more than one machine running, here's a handy little (open source) tool you can install to monitor F@H on all your boxes from one place. This is especially handy if you don't want to run monitors on all computers. It will work on both Windows and Linux boxes.

4% in two days ??? Might be time to consider dumping AOL :) LOL
