Obama Says Reaction to Remarks Proves Their Accuracy
AZCONSERVATIVE ^ | 19 April 2008 | John Semmens

Posted on 04/19/2008 1:32:02 PM PDT by John Semmens

Presidential contender Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who has faced widespread criticism of his characterization of rural Americans as bitter and racist, says the intensity of the reaction “proves the validity of what I said. The animosity shown toward the first credible Black man to run for president is evidence enough that racism is still the mainstream of rural America.”

“I don’t totally blame them for being bitter,” Obama went on. “I’m articulate, clean and charismatic—everything that they’re not. And I’m a millionaire, to boot. It’s got to be hard on these rednecks to see a Black man outshine them by such a wide margin.”

Obama said that despite the animosity, he plans to be magnanimous with such people once he is president. “While it wouldn’t be safe to continue to allow them to cling to their guns, I believe we can tolerate letting them keep their Bibles as long as they don’t start any trouble,” Obama promised.

The Senator indicated it would be unlikely that he’d be as lenient with “the turncoat who made my private remarks on this subject public. There will be accountability.”

Presidential rival, Senator Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) suggested that Obama’s betrayal by someone he trusted “show’s he is a poor judge of character.” “You know, I’ve learned the hard way, that even those closest to you can’t really be trusted,” Clinton observed. “I think this episode proves that Senator Obama is too naïve and callow to bear the responsibilities of the presidency.”

LOL...I’ll bet this is what he’s thinking anyway...and what his lovely wife, Michele, is telling him.

Oh, my ... spinning away the truth.

It only proves the Obomination is not ready for prime time.

What I also find amusing is how the LEFT portrays him as a great “orator”. The fact is you don't hear that about Jessie Jackson or Wrangle. No! You can hear they are black in their intonation. When you hear the Oblimnation speak, if you didn't see him, you might not know he is black. It's so funny how the LEFT is so racist - even with their own. Now someone like Keyes doesn't need the accolades of the LEFT - he is a FINE orator! Propping up a an elitist street punk, like the Obomination isn't working.

The problem with these satire pieces is they're so believable!

...is it me or has anyone heard any sort of an apology, or explanation. Sure I heard reason(s)...whenever he tells his side of anything, he always seems to add another question mark. I mean, his explanations don't answer anything and brings up more questions that have to be answered.

first credible Black man

Help me understand this statement, which we hear all the time, since his father is black and his mother is white?

I like Clarence Thomas’s, Steele's, Watts’s, Sowell’s etc... vision of what America can be.

I don't like Obama’s, Jesse's, Sharpton’s, Cornel ‘The Matrix Has You’ West's etc... vision of what America should be.

It's not about racism, it's about liberty. How crass of this supposedly "intelligent" human being. Of course this "racism" charge is geared towards his kool-aid drinkers but the media will dang sure try and silence all rebuttals towards the actual bigot.

first credible Black man

Further, his father is mixed, as I understand it, with more ancestors from the Middle East than from Africa.

Forgetting all of this, using the word "credible" here seems to be pretty demeaning to others in his arena who happen to have dark skin color.

"...proves the validity of what I said. The animosity shown toward the first credible Black man to run for president is evidence enough that racism is still the mainstream of rural America."

Nice. Since he's the first "credible Black man" to run for president, he can say anything he wants and we're not allowed to notice, or we're proving our own bigotry. Nice world you live in there, Humpty.

And as far as the "first credible Black man" crap, he owes Alan Keyes an apology. I personally found Keyes FAR more "credible" than BHO will ever be.

Does it enter into his little mind that maybe we do not like what he stands for and HOW he wants to change the country?

I think that as a courtesy to readers, satire should be explicitly labeled as such.
